I hope Carolina goes after him

Sammy should be in for a very nice payday. I'm sure he's glad he didn't get the franchise tag since now he can go get Nuk money.

I'd like Carolina to bring him in too, but he's got no shot at a Hopkins-level contract. And if you want him to go to Carolina that's a good thing, because they don't have a ton of cap room. Hopkins is one of the top 5 best all-around WRs in the NFL and just missed his first game this past season because of an injury that he probably could've played with if Houston had been in the playoff hunt. Watkins is primarily a speed guy that hasn't played a full season since his rookie year and only topped 1000 yards once.

You got that right, then....

go after a RB in the draft.

Hopefully he has better luck with the schedule this year wherever he plays. Last year it seemed he was matched up against a top 5 CB in the league nearly every week.

It would be cool if he ended up with DW4 and Nuke at the Texans.

That would be an unreal offense.

Sammy to Houston would be scary...

Mar 7, 2018, 4:08 PM

DW at QB, Nuk on 1 side of the field & Sammy on the other side.

Talk about scorched earth...

Texans need OL and RB ....... maybe another TE... some DBs.

Re: TNET: Sammy Watkins' options open in free agent market

They have RB's: Miller, Blue, Foreman, Ellington; Fiedorowicz is a good TE as well he just had a bad injury this year.

They could use some help at DB but that can be addressed in the draft. If you add Sammy to the offense they had this year pre-DW's injury it would be nearly unstoppable. Nuk and Fuller on the outside, Sammy on the inside getting the ball in space, would be deadly.

Texans need OL, more OL, and DBs. Will Fuller is doing just fine opposite Nuk.

Sammy would be a good fit with the Panthers. They need a speedster.

So teams only have 2 WR's? You add Sammy to Nuk and Fuller and they become even more dangerous.

Nuk has already stated about his time at Clemson in an unfavorable way. Largely to do with SW getting to much attention. It might upset Nuk!

Besides San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas, Oakland, Carolina, Houston, Indianapolis and Washington I would like to see the Miami Dolphins pick him up. Atlanta, New England and Jacksonville would love to have him too.

I hope Sammy gets used the way he should and he makes a bundle of dough!!

New England would be great if he wants to try and win a ring, but it's so rare that the "big play" receivers truly flourish in that NE offense. As a Patriots fan, I would love to see him there, and would probably take a chance on him in fantasy football. I also thought Dwayne Allen would have a fairly significant role for the Patriots and he caught like a dozen passes all season, so you just never know with Belichick.

Tough break being picked by Buffalo

Mar 7, 2018, 5:19 PM

Tyrod Taylor is the antithesis of DW and plays the NFL game similar to KB played last year as a first year starter. TT looks at his 1st option, maybe 2nd, then pulls down to run. He does not release the ball until the receiver shows he's open - often too late in the NFL. Not ideal for any wide receiver. In LA, he had to learn the Offense mid-season and served as a decoy on many plays. Hopefully, Sammy will use his options to go with the best situation at QB that will get him the accurate passes and touches he deserves. Excited to see what he can do on a competent Offense.

Buffalo is where talent goes to die.

I’m still mad about C.J. Spiller.

If San Francisco comes knocking he needs to take whatever they offer him. Marquise Goodwin is their #1 and go-to deep threat, but he's only about 5'9". I think Sammy could go in there and flourish with Garappolo in a WR1 role and Goodwin would become the Desean Jackson, Will Fuller, Emmanuel Sanders, "go get it" kind of guy.

My 3 choices

Mar 8, 2018, 7:42 AM

Panthers(My Team), but not sure if it is a good fit. Houston, because it would be awesome to see him with DW and Nuk. Patriots, because he could SHINE with Brady!

Doubt Sammy'd go to Houston, but can you imagine the matchup nightmare for opposing Ds with him, Nuc and DW4. Whew!

I think he needs to stay away from a cold weather team, or at least one that plays outdoors.

I'm a Packers fan but I don't want him anywhere near Green Bay.

My hope is the Texans, Saints, or possibly Cardinals.
