I know they want to play , but PS guys are making an avg of 140k over a number of months per year . Not a bad gig , plus many of them do finally transition to being on full time rosters .
Good luck to all former Tigers on NFL practice squads .

Yep, never know when you’re number could get called. Wonder what holds JL back? Blocking? Don’t think it’d be his catching... but, with all these guys on PS lets you know just how much Dabo and staff do to develop players.

Not that there was any doubt in our mind, but others aka esecpn need to re-evaluate just who is the best cfb coach possibly ever... it was easy back when bear bryant coached and traveled with 200 guys. what record would Nikki or urban have had with the players that Dabo has had. Interesting.

I thought JL was a sure hit in the NFL, I know that injury was a huge setback but he was a stud for us!

So did I, but there is no way to know when an injury can reach out and take an NFL career away. I hope that Leggett will heal up and he becomes a success story in the NFL. He was surely an important part in helping us win the NCG against Bama with an amazing catch!!!

I was wondering what the pay is for practice squads. Good info Dug.

In my exceedingly humble opinion,

The quality of a player isn't best judged via an association with the Jets. That is the NFL purgatory...on a good day. ;)

$140k per football season, so like 4.5-5mos depending on playoffs or not. Then there is tenure gained if you make a practice squad like 4 yrs. Also there is some Union rule where if you get one start during your time as a PS member then you automatically get the minimal tenure for retirement also. They have a huge opportunity to make big bucks, they also get some pretty nice perks. Problem is a lot of teams are in the heart of very expensive life outside real estate and the players want to live it up, so they spend like $5k per month for a decent rental when they could easily cut it in half plus keeping up with the Jones and they buy $100k cars then dont have income 5mos later.

I think the Paw Journey focuses in on the life
