This seems to add more fuel to the fire when it comes to tampering (or whatever you want to call it). Mandel did add that the total limit is still 85.

The 25 scholarship is no big deal unless a school loses a bunch of players in the portal since 85 is still the magic number.

So you don’t see the possibility for somebody like little Nicky Saban to sign 45 new/transfers every season and cut 40-45 to make room?
