I can remember dad talking about when he was at Clemson ('38-'42) that the Senior class had a tradition each year of doing a senior prank. He said one year the seniors had taken a cow from the diary barns and put it in the tower of Tilman. He said that getting it up was a lot easier than getting it down!

This happened while I was a student at Clemson. The guy that did it supposedly took great care in the design and installation because he was very concerned about causing any damage. The school removed it VERY fast. The school did not see the humor in it and crawled all over the guy. I don't remember what they did to the guy, but do remember thinking that it was a little over the top considering how well he safely (allegedly) designed and installed it and how nice that it turned out.

Not too many people were able to get a photo of it. Had there been cell phones back then, there probably would have been a healthy handful of good photos. I am definitely going to save this photo. Thanks for posting it!
