Recruiting is a crap shoot, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Coaches in every sport want to have players that can play and because of the MLB rules it is tough to recruit talented baseball players whether they are true baseball or baseball and football.

The only time that I saw it to where both were attempted (Pro baseball and college football) at the same time was with R Crosby. Pretty sure he ended up regretting dropping football after getting injured playing football.

KC Royals was where the exception was made.
