You're correct. More correct than you know.
In 2010, Clemson was 4-3 at this exact point. We'd lost to Auburn, Miami and UNC. We'd beaten North Texas, Presbyterian, Maryland and Georgia Tech.
It was at that point in our season, with a new coach that we all wondered if we'd made a huge mistake. We ended up 6-7 that year after losing to South Florida in the Meineke Car Care Bowl.
There are a lot of parallels between the 2018 FSU team and the 2010 Clemson team.
We lost our minds in 2010, just like the FSU faithful are losing theirs right now in 2018.

Anyone loosing their mind about that year was not watching the games. That year was hard to grasp but you could easily see the improvement and change in culture happening. I was thinking that if Dabo could find the right X&O folks, he was the right choice.
The biggest difference in 2010 was that while our record was 6-7, our kids hustled to the end in every game (maybe not the bowl). That was the difference between a TB team at 7-5 (that would quit if slapped, but win the easy ones...ish) and a Dabo team at 6-7. Keep in mind that we were within a TD or even a FG in all of those games save SC (that was tough).
You have seen a Taggert team quit in the 3rd (see Cuse, VT). I say he should still get more time but this season for him is more akin to Dabo's interim/2009 campaign where he need to win the lockerroom first. I am not sure that he is getting there... there are moments and then it is gone.

Whether FSU, or any opponent remaining on our schedule in the regular season, there are always two issues at play: (1) our opponent has much less to lose than we do, and (2) Clemson must be careful not to lose focus/let its guard down. I don't expect the latter to happen.

Wilkins is the leadership glue that will hold this team together. I have watched a lot of Clemson football and I know that this season is special . We will not overlook anyone this year.

Herbstreit is washed up, use to give good insight but now just pumps up Ohio State and the SEC like the rest of them.

I am the complete opposite, to me he and Pollack are the only 2 that actually are believers in Clemson. There are times the he has tgought less of Clemson but its not very often. As for the hyping up OSU he was just saying yesterday that they wont make the CFP and shouldnt make it.

I agree....Herbstreit is usually unbiased and fair w evaluations. Seems to like Clemson and speaks highly of Dabo and the culture he’s created. Not always a buckle homer. Go Tigers nuke da Nole holes.

We put ESECPN in an awkward situation. We go and beat one of their premiere teams from the West every year and then we demolish the Coots. If they try to trash us then we just need to remind them of our record against the SEC over the last 5 years.

Come on TigerNet., the real question is not Herbst rites opinion, but how the Tigers match up with a struggling nole team. It's not a match up on either side of the ball. Sure, stupid turnovers may play against us, but we played a better O and D last week with the Pack and dominated. Will happen again imo.

I know we shouldn't take any foe lightly but this is one of the worst FSU teams I can remember. They might be slightly better than last season. I'm more concerned about BC and Duke who I think both can take FSU but only BC plays them HTH later.

This will mark the fifth time Florida State is an underdog of more than 14 points in the past 40 seasons. The Seminoles are 0-4 ATS in those previous four games.
