The one thing that a new coach wouldn't have to worry about with a QB like Trevor bc, that kid can sling it far. and with accuracy, and he has a set of wheels that's quick enough to get away from pressure, and take it to the house if defenders loose site of him for just a second!!! Trevor isn't a chump, he is the real deal that can seal up, and steal wins with just a little help!!!! IMHO, Trevor Lawrence was the best QB to ever play at Clemson, and he was IMO, the best QB in the country during his time as a college QB!!!!

I love the cold shower of realism expressed by the GM and Coach. Things will improve, and possibly quickly. The cap and draft choices line up beautifully, and no team has stability to avoid going in either direction because every team feeds on the carcasses of all the others in a drama that can alter team landscapes very quickly.

Sure would like to see them draft Justyn Ross. TL16 really needs some dependable receivers to throw to. Ross split wide and ETN coming out of the backfield would give him a couple of great options. Go Tigers...and Jags.

They have enough picks to at least build around TL16, and they should use them all, then hit free agency bc, they should have plenty of money after they get rid of most of the junk that Clown brought in. I watch about every game that TL16 played this past season, and it should have been embarrassing for the front office bc of what that Clown/Joke, Urban Meyer had protecting their franchise generational QB in Trevor Lawrence.
I'm sure that like most Tigers fans, I felt really bad that Trevor had to risk his NFL career with every snap playing on that very bad team. I bet that Trevor had a weak feeling in his gut before every snap of the ball. Opposing teams had pressure coming at him from every direction, and his FB instincts were locked in on survivability with every snap of the ball.
He had to make moves just to survive on every play like we never seen while he played at Clemson, and we thought we had a bad O line, Trevor had a National Championship O line at Clemson when compare to the O line he had with the Jags last season.
I'm betting there were many days that he wished he had come back for his senior year at Clemson. Knowing how Trevor played for his teams at Clemson, and watching how he had to play for the Jags. I actually shed tears for him watching some of those games knowing how crushed he must have been with giving everything he had to give, and it wasn't enough.
I hope that he knows it wouldn't have mattered that whoever would have been in his spot, their everything wouldn't have been enough either!!! I think that if I would have been put in the same position, and knowing that I could have done much more with a team giving as much as I willing to give, and they caused me to look that inadequate, I would have walked out bc, if I was Trevor, I would be smart enough to make a good living doing other things that wouldn't cause me to be crippled later in life.
I don't really give a chit about the Jag, but I do for TL16, and for his sake only, I hope that the new coach will do the things that will make it easier for Trevor to survive a lot better than his chances were last season. IMHO, I believe that TL16 could be an NFL star player with a sufficient O line to help protect him, and after last last season, he would probably only need a few seconds to have a chance to succeed!!! I mean after last season, his brain should be able to process everything in maximum over drive. An O line giving him a clean pocket for a few seconds, he would probably feel that the pro game was no faster than the college game. And I feel that Trevor has the talent, that with a couple of good receivers, and little bit more time, he would light pro defenses up like he did in college !!!

Re: TNET: Un-set OL & bad WRs: TL Jags = DJU Tigs in 2021

Hmmm ... even the great T.Lawrence (and this isn't sarcasm ... TL is truly great!) doesn't get a good QB rating when his OL isn't set and when his WRs are not performing.
DJU looked promising in 2020 (N.Dame game), then has bad QB rating for us in 2021 when his OL underperforms and his WRs play poorly.
Not to say that DJU is as good (or nearly so) as TL, but this article has meaningful context.
