This kids journey is a true puzzlement. From a 5-Star

Jun 25, 2022, 9:52 AM

recruit that was coveted by EVERYONE, to a college journeyman that can't seem to find a home for himself. There is some kind of disconnect, somewhere.

Strange kid..

Was so excited when he chose clemson. His performance and the way he left clemson was strange and confusing

You have to wonder if he's getting bad advice. Pressure to perform so he can go pro and make the paycheck. Someone telling him he should be the starter and if this team won't start him immediately, he needs to go find someone who will. It's really too bad. The kid probably has the talent. True star RBs have to also have patience....

Maybe he found that he couldn't negotiate a retroactive NIL deal, so he's shopping himself around to score some quick cash. Very talented kid, but apparently there are issues. Perhaps too many are people are influencing his thinking.

This is why I don’t trip when these kids transfer from Clemson. Sometimes they just don’t pan out to be what we thought they would be. Those star ratings don’t really mean much. Let’s see how good you are once you step on that college field.

One of the main reasons he Clemson was his grandfather dying. He is a heck of a talent best wishes to him.

He was a great prospect once for Clemson, so now he has to sit out a year.

If Dabo wants the young man, maybe time to give him a second shot at Clemson.
He would not play in 2022 anyway.
So, he would be available in 2023, if he has his head straight.

If he is truly a head case, he should be somewhere else…..

If he is looking for NIL ?? ?? dollars, then somewhere else like Miami, …..

Potential does not always translate into performance, Dabo knows…..

Couldn't get on the field at Clemson and couldn't get on the field at Florida. Maybe he just isn't very good.

I'm sure none of us are all that surprised to see that he's gone again. Things are always clearer through the rear view mirror, but this kid has to be able to see that he would have been so much better off here. Not that I think they would ever use negative stories like this but this definitely gives our staff more to pitch to kids about the grass not always being greener

Give USF a shot, it's only 30 miles from Lakeland.

Going to class and learning playbook

may be too much to ask of him.

My guess is he is not all that and the bag of chips. No reason he should not have been on the field for UF if he had what it takes. If he had stayed he would be third string. Our running back room is deep and experienced. Go Tigers.

Almost as silly as youth sports. Jumping around to different teams if you don’t start. If Travis Etienne needed to not start and work on his game a little, pretty sure every running back needs to learn a thing or two.

I remember looking at his tape from high school and noticed he liked to take deep sets and run horizontally and look for a hole to run through. In the college and pro game, that's a tackle for a loss by a good, quick outside linebacker. I think that might be why his production is low, and also why he doesn't get much playing time. It worked in high school, but the gig is up now.

He was not meant for Clemson from the start he came here because of his grandfather, and I also think he is afraid of competition. I honestly feel we have better overall backs without him in Mafah ,Shipley and Pace wish him the best but no thanks Now he had to sit out a year . Maybe he had emotional problems or is getting bad advice or lastly looking for a big NIL package
