I believe Gallman has earned his NFL pension and health care plus one year -- not easy to do. Congrats and job well done!! A great Tiger!

Hang in there Wayne. Praying for you.

If Wayne never plays another down in the NFL. I will still

consider him one of the biggest overachievers of all time. Never possessing great speed, or cutting ability, he made the absolute most of any chances he EARNED in college and the NFL.

If you look up "Work Ethic" in the dictionary, there should be a picture of Wayne Gallman as an example of it.

If nothing else, he should be a shining example to any college running back that if you learn how to PASS BLOCK well, you will garner playing time.

Not bad at all for someone who many on here considered a "throwaway scholarship" so that we could land one Robert Nkemdiche.

I'd say Clemson got the best end of that deal, by far. :)

So many said he was a token recruit & would never play when he committed & the number 1 overall teammate decommitted DE nokwdemshe...lol

The Wayne train would run over & through you with determination. If most of our running backs ran with Gallman’s determination they all would have been incredible.

Always loved the way he ran, whether he got stuffed or ran for 20 yards his next touch he would run just as hard.

He had a tendency to fall down if he was to wide open because he was leaning forward so hard...lol

Always fell forward on his rushing attempts.
Can't ever remember him being stood up or losing yardage. A great example for kids to look up to and follow by his work ethic and Godly ways. A true man!
Roll on Wayne Train!

I love what you say about "The Train", one small correction

I would say that it was more Ryan Carter that everyone thought was the throw-away scholarship, not Gallman though neither were highly ranked in recruiting - though UGA offered Gallman. Both turned out to be great players though.

One of my favorite players ..... never felt like he got a good shot in Atlanta .... performed pretty well for the Giants. Hope he lands somewhere where he can help .... good receiver too.

Totally agree. If he ever decides to get out of the NFL, he'd be a tremendous person to have on our staff. Maybe be our byog coach. Some of these younguns could learn a thing or two about perseverance and toughness.

When Gallman was a Tiger, our O-line didn't give him holes to run through as much as creases.

Never one to avoid contact!

Many times he would wait patiently for the pulling guard or trapping TE to hit the hole, and then Wayne-train would ride through the crease on the hip of his blocker. He was a consistent 4 YPG runner, not really a gamebreaker. He was just what our high-flying passing game needed--a sure,, steady presence in the backfield. And other than the NC St game when he was knocked out, I don't remember him fumbling.

(But I'm not doing an exhaustive search right now.)

Glad he has a new home in MN.

Great player and person. He made about $2.5 million before taxes over his career. Plus he was vested in the retirement plan after 3 years playing. That's $5640 a month. Wayne has a great future even if he doesn't play again.

Power running look at the last drive in the 2nd Natty against Bama. He's given a toss from a pass and is slammed by the D-Back from Bama. He took a step back and ran for 9 yards .
