If everyone would accept what Dabo says about us not having any control of The Playoffs and just enjoy the games and celebrate the wins, we would be better off. There is joy in winning but no crime in losing and we win about 95% more games than we lose.

It isn’t losing a game that causes heartburn and disappointment and concern. It is how we are playing below the standard and wasting the talent we have in the way we are winning and losing that fuels the disappointment. Are our expectations too high? Perhaps, but shouldn’t they be that high if best is the standard? Especially with the talent recruited and the players we have.
The critique is about how we are playing as compared to the recent past and that lays at the feet of the coaching. We are Clemson. We expect better and we deserve better because we are better! Hold ourselves accountable! Just do it in a classy way.
Go Tigers! Beat the Miami ducks! ??

No it hasn't, nor should it be. That said, the only consistent thing we've been for 2 years is inconsistent. Really 3 years but the first year wasn't in his control (covid). His motto has always been to play to a standard and that is best is the standard. That is we play against Clemson. Right now Clemson isn't very good. He knows it.
When Dabo gets defensive and starts rattling off records it's usually when he realizes something is amiss. He'll get it back.

What gets to me the most, some just don't see or understand why we were in the playoff picture, then we play a team as ND that is as talented as we are, and we get out coached in every phase of the game. My question is, why were we out coached in every phase of the game, and those aren't just my words, they are the words of our HC, and I agree with him 100%!!!!!

Exactly , if we had not lost to Notre Dame because our offense stunk we would STILL be in the CFP Top 4 . Be realistic , Navy scored 32 points on Notre Dame and they were a 3-5 team. We are not an elite offense and totally rely on our defense to keep us in every game. I am nervous every time we play a team with a better than average defense and I know other Alums are as well. It is not fair to keep the defense on the field most of the game. When we ran a draw play on 3rd and 8 deep in Louisville's side of the field and Will Shipley fumbled that telegraphed to every team we play going forward that we don't have confidence in either QB to make the throws downfield. Let Cade throw the ball in that situation.

And lost the playoff game due to offensive production much like our current offense. An otherwise great offense was held to 6 points due to poor QB play.

The 'Bammer defense in'17 was top notch. They shut down everything we had- passing and running. Our D played well, but their D was a bit better.

No, you don't control that. If all 5 P5 conferences were to have undefeated champs, 1 would be left out. That's the point...there is nothing automatic about the CFP. It is out of our control, so it's not on the board. Pretty simple philosophy. I think the results over the past decade support that Dabo's motivational skills and goal setting are pretty #### spot on.

Yes, we haven't been mathematically eliminated BUT.....
....a lot of things have to go our way. A dammn good start would be blowing the chit out of the water scoring against the next three opponents.

Steady approach with the media. But I expect in the meetings and in practices, I expect the coaches to get a little salty when needed to make their points emphatically. They need to #### off some players and light a fire under their a$$Es!

I think what we have to understand is no elite coach is going to come out and say negative things or pinpoint why we’re playing poorly.
Winners don’t point to Navy/ND and say but but but…. Winners look at every opponent as a threat. Winners train the same for The Citadel as they do for Alabama or Georgia. So in that sense, Dabo is right. But where he falls short for fans is he seemingly doesn’t understand the fact that our 4 and 5 star players are not being developed like the 4 & 5 stars of those past teams he mentions. And that falls directly on his coordinators, thus on him. And while it may seem to us he doesn’t understand that, I’m betting he does. We’ve seen him make hard decisions in the past. I’m trusting he’ll fix this. And if he doesn’t…. he may join the list of former greats who are no longer coaching. Not only has Dabo made some tough changes in coordinators over the years, CU has also shown it’s not afraid to make head coaching changes when needed. But we are a long long way from that happening. So, let’s strap on our big boy pants and saddle up for the ride. Like many of you, Clemson is my team no matter the score. GO TIGERS.

My goodness. Football is intertainment not a way of life. As a long time fan (79 years+) I want Clemson to win every game but know this is a unrealistic goal. Shucks! I can remember when our only goal was to beat USC and we failed many times to achieved this goal. Folks enjoy the wins. A Natty would be great but if we never win another one in my lifetime and we probably won't I, for one, will not be unhappy. Go Tigers!

Undefeated TCU, 1 loss Tennessee and 1 loss USC are more likely to get in than 1 loss Clemson
A New Year’s Six is our best bet and perhaps a winnable game rather than being smashed in the playoffs

Because they earned it! You can’t devalue conf championships to the point that a team with the same W/L record but no conf championship gets favored over the conf champion with the same W/L record. Talk about de-legitimizing the regular season conference champs, this would do it big time. Then why even play for conf championships?

Finally someone points out why Tenn does not pake the playoffs. They will be at home watching the conference championship games. TCU will lose to either Baylor or K-St, SoCal will lose to UCLA or ND and LSU will lose to Ga. I left out that Bame will also be watching the conference championshio games. This leaves us and UNC left to leap into that spot. We all know Ohio St will beat Mich to drop them so the path is there, like most say just win out. Y\\\\\\\\\\\\There is no way a committee cannot leap the winner of the ACCCM into the playoffs providing we both win out---a top ten(probably top 8) matchup. Dabo knows the path is there.

Wep, Dabo is talking this way because he’s winning all the way to the bank. Everything is still on table for him. ACC championship win coaches bonus money, New Year Six bowl game appearances bonus money and his legacy coaches winning percentages. The Clemson fans just are not getting what they want out the deal is witnessing elite football play and a playoff victories with a national championship at the end of the rainbow! It is just reality of Dabo’s speech now !
