Just praying it doesn't turn into a Trevor situation lingering where he needs surgery.

Why are the playing him when they are up by 35 in the first half?
Especially a throwback to the QB???
To win the state championship they need to keep him healthy!
Get well soon, and bulk up!
Good luck winning the state…

Good news! Also glad it was his non throwing shoulder because i believe he's already had an injury to his throwing shoulder that he worked back from last year.

He’s going to get hit a lot harder than that

in college. Hope he’s durable.

Yeah he is going to need to put on 20-25 lbs of muscle at least. He is lanky. That's why I really hope DJ comes around.

I'm sorry to hear this for him, teammates and coaches. Cade may be better shutting things down for the remainder of season.

Nobody wants to ask why when you are up 35-0 in the 2nd quarter you are trying to embarrass the other team with a Philly Special throw back to your 5 star QB who probably shouldn’t be in the game at that point?

Gotta love Texas Football. I'm all for letting the boys play ball. Those Chaps are fun to watch on Fridays if you haven't seen them yet. I don't want coaches in fear of reprisal from fans while letting their players play their game.

Selfishly, for the best interest of Tiger football, I would prefer to have him sit out like Will Shipley until he gets to Spring Ball but even Shipley said it was quite an adjustment getting back to contact after such a hiatus. We have to remember these are high school seniors that want to leave their best mark on their hometown programs. Best of luck to Cade on a speedy and efficient recovery.

Let em play yes. If you are scoring TDs every possession and stopping them the game is a mismatch. Once you are up 35 points here in high school you go to a running clock. It’s not really a game at that point and little to be gained for your team.

Is that Booby from FNL? Best show ever!

It’s hard to pull a kid in the first half.

Oct 9, 2021, 4:26 PM

We have been winning games like that and kept TL in if it’s the first half. In fact, even in huge blowouts, TL would usually play at least one or two series in the second half.

Also, you’re always working on new things and putting things on film for better teams to have to account for later in the season and in the playoffs.

If this was late in the third quarter or even the fourth quarter you’d have a case. This was midway through the second quarter. You couldn’t get him out of that game before halftime if you tried.

Their coach is a HS FB coach, not a rocket scientist. Very selfish and poor decision to leave him in, IMO. Looks like the coach was wanting to pad stats, or embarrass the other team/coach, or something. Who knows, but I just hope Kade heals up quickly and permanently.

Get well !!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Glad it wasn't to the throwing shoulder & not too serious for the young man

Oct 9, 2021, 1:08 PM

but as pointed out, hopefully he'll be able to bulk up a little bit once here & that this isn't sign of things to come. Given how we've used our QBs in recent years, would hate to have a situation like what happened to DW4 his freshman year where he got banged up left & right. DJU coming around & developing into reliable QB would go along way in preventing that happening for Klubnik.

DW4 and Trevor had to gain some muscle weight when they got to Clemson, and this young man will have to do the same, and will!!!

To be clear...the photo. He runs and throws better. If he has RW’s heart we are in business.
