Tennessee without hooker would be worse than UNC tbh

I wouldn't like that matchup simply because if we lost to 10AC, the coots would claim two wins against us in just one season!!!!

Clemson doesn’t get to decide where they go post season, but would be foolish not to take the Orange Bowl invitation. Who we play is also not our choice. Vols - even without Hooker - would be a challenge and a good game.

It would be our luck that DJ plays well enough to win AND ‘earn’ the starting QB position for next season (if he does stay), and possibly drive Cade into the portal.

Hate to admit, but Dabo’s insistence that DJ is still the starter after yesterday’s game, is making me begin to doubt Dabo. Never thought I would say that.

Whatever choice(s) you make makes you. Choose wisely.

You really need to know what you are talking about. ACC champion is automatically in the Orange Bowl unless they make playoffs. Also the Orange bowl get to pick the opponent.

I don’t want Tennessee or Bama in a bowl game, they would whip us but it is what it is

I hate to say it (well than why say it), DJ doing bad again will probably help get him out as QB. Cade plays next year or gone. DJ has had 2 years.

You are forgetting one thing, and that is there is no way in H&ll or high water that DJ will beat Cade Klubnick out next fall, and then we have Christopher Vizzina coming in that had more offers than Cade, DJ may not beat the TRUE freshman out as backup. As far as I see it, DJ's matches got really wet in 2021, and they didn't seem to dry out any in 2022.

I know all about DJ will always be a Tiger, but to me he will never be one of our best Top 5 QB's we've had at Clemson. I sure that he has gave his best, but sometimes your best just isn't good enough, and IMO, that fits DJ.

I could wrong, but I honestly don't think so, but I don't think that Streeter is a very good QB coach, and he surely isn't a very good OC, and my opinion is that if Dabo wants to do what's best for the program, he will cut ties with Streeter and bring in a really good proven OC that was also good at developing QB's. Like most I can't see any difference in 2021 DJ or 2022 DJ, and that reflects back on the QB coach IMHO!!!

I don't THINK Streeter is very good, but I KNOW DJ isn't a quality QB.

I coached football for several years at the high school level and was an advance scout for a few years after that. I know it's not much but it gave me different insight to the game than it did as a player or a fan. One of the biggest things I've learned is that your playcalling is dependant upon the abilites of your personnel. For example, when the Chargers HC said after two games that Justin Herbert had the whole playbook at his disposal, I knew that kid was special. I think that part of the reason our playcalling is so vanilla is because they know he isn't capable of doing more.

From what I see there are many problems with DJ fundamentally. DJ's eye level drops in the face of pressure (can't do that). His footwork is inconsistent (legs closer together on some pocket throws than others). His arm angle is inconsistent and his motion is jerky and causes the ball to flutter on touch throws. He misreads throws and puts balls on a line that require touch (like last Saturday on the hitch and go that should have been a TD).

This isn't unique to DJ. A lot of big kids who play QB don't have good fundamentals because they can rely on arm strength and size at the high school level. The problem is that in college and especially in the pros, the talent gap decreases as does the throwing windows. Mahomes has a cannon as does Allen, but they've worked on fundamentals the past few years to improve their games.

Streeter needs a better QB in order to see what he can really do as an OC and a playcaller. Until then I can't condemn him completely.
