I agree, I think it is a huge mistake but not my decision to agree or disagree with. Best of luck Joseph! I wish you nothing but the best!

He may want to take a chance at the NFL. Ost likely undrafted, which will allow him to pick a team.

Then again, he may just want to move on from football, and see what the next chapter brings.

You have to stay healthy even in the XFL.

Sadly this is true.

Don't these guys get NFL draft projections? Seems like he just wants to get out because free agency is the only spot where I see him signing. Then he will have to prove himself at the NFL level and he really didn't even do that at Clemson.

I agree with you on all of them are terrible except maybe Randall and Williams. They were only Freshmen and Williams was voted as a Freshman All American. I am sure he wont get any better under Grisham though.

Not that his departure is a bad or good one but with it our WR staff needs to step it the eff up! They must not pi$$ away A Williams and Randle…Develop these players and make them viable College caliber WRs! I’m getting sick of the pedestrian play from the WR positions…It’s a hard pill to swallow from a program coming off the likes of the tremendous amount of talent we’ve had come through that’s literally tossing up 1k yard seasons in the NFL…

Congrats Joe! I hope you find success brother!!

Seriously, just wondering where Joe created problems linked to being high maintenance...

Re: Interesting statement...

Jan 12, 2023, 12:07 AM

He required a football to be thrown within a 10 yard radius, which DJ couldn’t do.

It wasn't a "fail". Cade wasn't ready and DJ

Jan 11, 2023, 10:48 PM [ in reply to more of a major fail of the decision at qb ]

was winning games. We were 8-0 before ND, and Cade was given an opportunity to take the job at ND. He wasn't ready. He still has a lot to learn.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: It wasn't a "fail". Cade wasn't ready and DJ

1

Jan 12, 2023, 12:28 AM

An “opportunity”…?? Thrown in the game down how many points… pretty much on the your own goal line…. In 35 mph winds…. “Hey Cade.. Go get em’ kid… but don’t mess up the already garbage situation we’ve put you in..” ——- Interception——- ……. “ Cade wasn’t ready for the position.. nor the moment…”. — Dabo Swinney

Here is the whole thing…

Nick Saban is a robot. He is the exception to the rule. If not for a choke artist place kicker for OSU … UGA would’ve suffered the same complacent fate that all the rest of us had. Including Saban and Alabama. Georgia got whipped and if it weren’t for the corrupt officials that didn’t call an aggregious targeting foul against MHJr…. Followed by their kicker shanking one like I do my 7 iron… UGA is sitting at home watching OSU do slightly less harm to TCU than Georgia did.

When this much money gets involved in college football. Whether it be the players or coaches… it becomes WAY to easy to rest on your laurels. Where’s the motivation?? As a player, If the NFL don’t work out … I’ll cash out with “name” Chevy dealership during college and then build my Insta account up to over 2 mil followers to get pay outs for everything I post…. From Dabo’s side… I make $10 mil.. I’ve got two rings. End of story. I’m the king. I’m waiting on my statue on top of the oculus. I’m the ALL TIME winning national championship coach of Clemson University…. We have ZERO problems. Best is now “kind of” the standard… kind of. “Listen fans… we are winning a lot of games… I don’t know what to tell you…. I mean… I know I’ve PREACHED to you all for years that best is the standard…. BUT.. it’s only the standard IF…” I’ll leave it at that … ?

One possession, inside his own red, on the road is not much of an opportunity. DJ had three quarters to stink it up. Cade got two or three plays from no man’s land. At least send him back out and let him try under normal field position conditions.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

2

Jan 11, 2023, 10:44 PM [ in reply to Re: TNET: Clemson WR announces NFL decision ]

The "pedestrian play" from WRs was due to what exactly? Have you watched the QB the last 2 years? There's your answer. Can't have receivers catching a bunch of passes when the QB can't get it to them. The QB precedes the WRs.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: TNET: Clemson WR announces NFL decision

Jan 12, 2023, 12:59 AM

I’m in sales…. I do pretty decent. I don’t bring in (recruit) the premier clients…. And the ones that I DO bring in don’t perform… guess what.. ‘JPlumley6’ doesn’t have a job anymore.. no matter how great of a year I had two years ago…. EVEN more so the fact that I got a huge raise…. The raise puts EVEN more pressure on my a$$ to perform and put “players”… including coaches around me that win…. It’s that simple. Culture is fantastic.. he’s using that as an excuse for flat out missing on recruits…. That’s all. We miss on a recruit that we normally would have pulled in…. “He didn’t fit the culture”….

Sales? That explains the long winded blow hardness of your last comment.
Dabo is back in the playoffs next year, nincompoop. You heard it here first. He's got plenty of motivation mostly to keep blowhards such as you off his back.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

3

Jan 11, 2023, 7:29 PM

He was the one I most wanted to come back. I think it would have benefited him and us both greatly.

I’m your biggest fan going forward. I hope you find the spark you need to be highly successful in the NFL because I think you have the potential.
I would have loved to see how good you were with Cade throwing. I think with the right fit and a good QB that can pass the ball to you that you’ll be great!

he's nowhere near ready for the NFL. On the other hand, I'm not sure another year of college ball would enhance his draft/prospect staus one bit, so might as well get what he can now.

I don't think Joseph Ngata has a long future in the NFL. He's a good receiver but not a difference maker. No good college defense was afraid to leave him one-on-one in coverage. He's not a slot receiver. Of course, he's had injuries to deal with, but I'm not sure where he thinks he's going in the NFL Draft at this point.

Jan 12, 2023, 1:30 PM

But many do it each and every year. The NFL is a heartless meatgrinder and it's so easy to cut marginal players when no investment has been made in them.

Hard to see Ngata being anything more than a practice squad player for a couple of years. He's built similar to Mike Williams but doesn't play with the same level of ferocity and physicality.
