Does Miami not have softball? Of all the sites to host games in Feb they'd be an ideal site.

They are probably concerned about the safety of the players. We lived in South Florida and I worked in Miami for 10 years. It can be a dangerous place if you don’t know your way around.

I just wonder if they are hosting because they aren’t in the St Petersburg tourney or if they aren’t at St Pete because they are hosting. That is clearly the elite early season tourney (15 of the 16 teams playing were in the NCAA tourney) and will include VT, Duke and FSU. Host is a good consolation prize and there will be some good games but not like St Pete would have likely been.
