I've seen posts of a concern over acc tournament. It's a virtual impossibility that we don't get in. Duke and BC don't have enough games. Essentially Duke has to sweep Pitt and beat va tech. Ain't happening. Likewise we'd have to get swept by BC and BC win FSU series. Ain't happening.

So we're definitely in the tournament. Bigger concern is the fact 10 acc teams will be selected. There would have to be zero conference tournaments that had an upset for the acc to get 11 teams in, irrespective of the stupid rpi. That rpi stuff is a joke.

11 teams will most likely have enough games to make it in. Which team gets left out? Again, most likely 8 teams are locks. So you have 4 teams for 2 slots.

UNC - long shot
Ga Tech - ? How they close and acc tournament
Wake - winning ACC record
Clemson - acc tournament + our 2 remaining serie a.

Yeah, me too. Been a while. The slide started when Wilhelm retired. Leggett slowly started letting the team slip. This guy has destroyed it. I said the moment I heard his philosophy that we were doomed. Big ball that lives and dies by the homerun. It has rarely worked anywhere. Small ball is how you win games. Shutdown pitchers and closers with utility players wins games. Prime example is Vandy. They play small ball and absolutely wear us out. I just hope it’s repairable. Dreaming of us hosting a super regional again.
