Clemson paces record ACC revenue distribution

The ACC’s tax records show a record revenue distribution to schools in the last recorded fiscal year, which covered through June 2020. Per reports, the ACC made $497.2 million for the 2019-20 financial year, which was the first one with the ACC Network on the books. The gross total was $42 million o Read Update »

Just another reminder that Clemson has to be careful with spending to continue to compete on a national level.
We rank in the top 30 schools for athletic revenue (including IPTAY, ticket sales...) far behind large schools like Texas, Texas A&M, Ohio State, etc....
Our AD and coaches have to continue to spend smart fo Clemson to remain relevant nationally.

The league may be down,

...but I am sincerely hopeful these trends from the ACC Network revenue will continue to help teams in the league grow, develop & recruit. For many, that will likely bring more fans by nature (especially if any start renovations), albeit Miami is an odd one in spite of their recent competitiveness (albeit even they used to have a packed house back when they were elite, so they can do it again).

Attendance has nothing with this revenue, this is tv and bowl money the way I read the report.

Not just attendance, TICKET PRICES!!
Clemson and other ACC teams charge much less than big schools.
Our football season tickets are half the price of the big schools (like Texas and Texas A&M., OSU, .......)
So many fans, students, Alumni, and giant stadiums = $$$$$$$$
Clemson is fine, we need to pay our quality coaches, and not waste money on stupid stuff.
Other schools pay their former coaches more than we pay our assistant coaches. Coots, Auburn, FSU.......

Kinda disappointed the ACC is last in the Power 5! I thought we would be no worse than 4th. I knew the Big 10 would be the big leader by a wide margin, and that the SEC would be 2nd. I have holes we will move up in 2021.
GO TIGERS!!!

If ACC football and basketball teams do not improve, the league will get further and further behind in revenue.

It all has to do with the number of alumni. The ACC has

so many small private schools, while the other power 5s are made up of mostly larger state schools.

So...each school in the Southeastern Conference gets the big dollar amounts. Does the UofCalifornia get paid per each SEC! SEC! chant? That's gotta add up...

Clemson was the third smallest school in the conference when we won our first National Championship. Only Duke and Wake Forest were smaller (based on undergraduate enrollment).

Now, we are 7th largest, with 8 smaller enrollment (recently passing UVA).
Also, only 4 ACC schools have more Male than Female students (CU, ND, Ga Tech, VA Tech).
Clemson is less than 51% male.
