I believe next year's QB will be DJ again. At this point Dabo gives me no reason to believe someone else would unless DJ doesn't return.

I like your ranking logic.
DJ is supposed to graduate in December. If he does, he needs to seek his other opportunities.
The NFL, or more likely the transfer portal.
I hope Cade is the starter. He is an accurate passer and capable runner.

I sure hope so because if DJ is still here, then it will be Cade in the portal.
I love & respect Dabo and based on his track record, All us Tigers must fall in line behind Coach's decisions. That said DJ is a real head scratcher?? DJ cannot read defenses and defenses CAN & DO read DJ and he is Not mobile Enough to get out of the pocket and probably answers the ? why Streeter has Not drawn up plays to get DJ out of the pocket.
DJ may not be responsible solely for the losses,
but DJ is definitely responsible for Not performing at a level which elevates the rest of the Offense's play. DJ does Not have the QB instinct that will allow him to sense his surrounding.

If Clemson struggles like they did against USC and Dabo does not make the switch, then in my opinion, Cade leaves. Cade is not going to sit idly by and let DJ determine his role whether or not he returns.
At some point after the bowl game one of the two quarterbacks will enter the transfer portal.

It will probably be Christopher Vizzina or Cade Klubnik in my opinion. I believe DJ will hit the portal or go to baseball as it doesn’t look like the NFL is a possibility.
He could prove us all wrong but I would be surprised if he pulled a Kenny Pickett.

If DJ stays, guessing it will be him. As far as the rankings, I’d say they are fair. To include the assessment for some of the upcoming championship games.

I take little to no comfort in the loss to USC by considering the fact that we probably would not have made the playoffs anyway. Streeter attributes DJ's poor performance to drops, but PFF said there were 3, whereas there were 29 passes and at least another one should have been picked off. Streeter makes excuses, but the passing game was totally inept and Klubnik should have had an opportunity to play. DJ played well enough (not great) the first half of the season, but when we got to the Championship phase, where Clemson has always improved in the past, DJ was horrible in 3 of the 5 games. He is a fine young man who gives his all, but he is slow and easily loses his confidence.

Streeter own words: passing game was non-existent in 2nd half. Why we didn't change QB s or stop passing is beyond me. I hope Dabo is asking himself and Streeter the same question.
Cade should start in the bowl game and next year.

DJ starts next year if he plays well in the last two games. Cade will go to the portal unless he is the starter next year. DJ will go to the portal if he is sitting on the bench in 2023. If Swinney wants to keep both, he could split the starting duties next year, but that never works out well.

I will wait and see who is under center next year. I’m still one of the few that believe in our head coach. CDS will put who he believes gives us the best chance to win. Plus that’s his job ?? and that means it’s COLLEGE FOOTBALL TIME. ??

If after a year in the system Klubnik can’t beat out a very inconsistent DJ that is very concerning. It would be two quarterbacks in a row that were not as good as advertised or two quarterbacks in a row that have not been developed properly.

QB development has been bad for a while now. Trevor’s best year was when he was a freshman. Common denominator is Streeter who was mediocre at best as a QB, and again I’m left wondering why he has a job at a D1 school.

Disappointed we didn’t get to see better qb play this year. Gonna be a long time waiting to see who plays next year . . . Which is basically the exact same feeling as last offseason . . . Only this time it’s worse cuz it kinda feels like we lost a year and dug a deeper hole. Long story short, i guess my money’s on a non-dj qb opening the season, probably cade, and that factors in the vain hope that cade comes in and takes over in at least one of the next two games. Ugh please give the kid a chance

DJ will start the first game next season if he is still at Clemson. The portal may be very inticing to him after the fan reaction to his play this year.
Coach Swinney is realistic and loyal at the same time - he will give DJ the benefit of the doubt but make a decision very early as to who is the leader he wants, Look at how he addressed the issue when Trevor Lawrence was here.

Barring any injury or unforeseen set of circumstances…Kade is quicker, a more accurate passer and he has earned the right to start after bailing Clemson out versus Syracuse.
Kade should be the starter.

I hope it’s Klubnick. Take away all the emotion and excuses, DJ has improved from a really bad qb in 2021 to an average qb in 2022. This is not opinion, it’s based on QBR ratings. And BTW, there are some stats that are kept that factor in dropped passes as well and guess what, that doesn’t move his rating. Yes, we’ve had two, ten win seasons with him, but many of those games were one score nail biters and we could have easily lost 4 or 5 games last year as well as this year. So….there’s the “in spite of “ factor rather than the “because of” factor. It’s not personal, it’s business.

Here is a scenario (unlikely, but you never know): DJ plays the game of his life against UNC. He puts up Heisman stats in completions, touchdowns and rushing. Our defense plays like they were supposed to when the season started, and we stomp UNC for the ACC championship. We move on to the Orange Bowl against Alabama and same thing happens. The DJ we thought we had recruited shows up again, and this time outplays Bama QB Bryce Young, last year’s Heisman winner (and a former rival of DJ’s in Southern California). Boom! We stomp Alabama (or at least beat them handily). And then comes the NFL draft, and it is clear that no team is willing to risk a draft pick on DJ, or it would be projected to be chosen way down in the draft. So he decides to return to Clemson, and why not? He ended this season on a high note, and if he has a great year in 2023, he WILL be a high draft pick next year. Then what does Dabo do.

And if my above scenario does come true (i.e., DJ has two all-star games, we beat UNC and win the Orange Bowl, and DJ returns next year), we could be looking at No Man’s Land for Cade: Dabo starts DJ next year, and Chris Vizzina shows up with Trevor Lawrence form in camp, Cade will be in No Man’s Land and have to enter the Portal. I would hate to see that happen.

Wep… Vizzina could pull another DW4 as freshman when he personally caused Kelly to have a nervous breakdown in spring football and leave Clemson because he was the successor of QB1 when Boyd left. If DJ leaves or don’t impress in spring football next year, who’s to say Vizzina can’t leap frog Klubnick

In October, DJ had jumped into Top 5 2023 QB in a lot of mocks. He had a late first round to the Bucs or Colts by more than a few people. He's still hovering around 10 in some i think.
This isn't a great QB class (like Trevor's year). Besides CJ Stroud & Bryce Young, it's pretty thin for NFL style QB's. Guys in front of him: Hooker, Richardson, and Levis.
I would not be shocked to see him declare. He just might get drafted in 2nd bc these WR's stink and he is a pocket passer which most of these other guys aren't.
NFL Draft LOVES rocket arms. I swear they value that over everything else. Just look at Paxton Lynch or Drew Locke who never did squat in college besides a 7 or 8 win season and got 2nd round picks which guarantee you 4 years and >$1M income per.
