Good luck young trotter. Know all too well that's how them back things go.

Question: does that free up a scholly since he'll be a somewhat coach. Still classified as student?

Wishing him all the best!***

Wishing him the best, but man do we have a lot of dudes who either get medically retired or get hurt and stay on the trainer's table. Especially at O Line; seems every two-three years we lose a guy to retirement.

Yeah we seem to have an abnormal amount. Was looking at our signing classes the last few years. Amazing how many are gone for whatever reason, retired, quit, still hurt. We've had a lot of highly rated players that are not even listed on the 2 deep. Most of our 2 deep are the lower rated kids. Odd.

Sorry for the young man

Nov 16, 2022, 9:08 PM

Good luck MT. We never heard the rest of the story. Is his departure related to the reason he sat out all season?

Back surgery and docs told him no more football.

Too bad for him.

Clemson has not had good luck with offensive linemen recently. Seems like every couple of years we're losing someone to a "career" ending injury. It's turned into a really odd epidemic.

Man, that’s awful. I feel him. I injured my back in 1986 and have constant problems ever since. Sometimes I just slip on shoes because I can’t reach to tie them

Best wishes for the future, Mason!
Hope that future includes the Tigers in some way.
It's sad that it won't look quite like you expected it to -- hopefully the character that made you an asset to the football team will serve you well in other areas of life.
We're proud of you.

Praying you are blessed in all things Mason Trotter

We are grateful to have you as a student coach, I know Dabo thinks the world of you and your future, can’t wait to see the awesome things you do in the future.

Thank you for being a Tiger forever!
