putting us in the top 5 is pretty generous after last year.
We still have the same QB, lost arguably our best WR from last year, and don’t project to be significantly better on the offensive line. I’m not sure what they see in our returning offensive players to garner a top 5 ranking, especially since we have a new offensive coordinator as well.

Which games are we losing that you'd have us LOWER than 5th, though?
Even if we lose to ND, for example, we're still in complete control of being in the top 4 outright. I just don't see the losses on this schedule & we have our bye-week before ND regardless.
How low would you put us, & what's our likely record?

I see multi losses under DJ but I see undefeated Natty with Cade. I will dominate like Lawrence did at QB. The only reason Lawrence didn't have 3 Nattys is that after winning first one vs Bama. The other 2 seasons Clemson played in the Sugar Bowl. That is SEC Bowl and they have been anti Clemson for over 50 years. Lawrence last year Saban knew his Tide couldn't beat Lawrence so he took playing in semi in Arlington TX instead of Sugar Bowl cause he knew Sugar Bowl would beat Clemson.

The general consensus was a coin flip against UGA and then we were going to steamroll everyone else.
There's no guarantee we will be any better this year than we were last year although our schedule is easier. It looks like we will have generally the same strengths and weaknesses as a year ago barring Klubnik taking over and lighting it up. I think everyone is just banking on our defense being even more elite than last year which is a tough ask, and our offense not sucking quite as bad. I'd love to be wrong, but i think the best case for our offense is mediocrity. And maybe that's enough to win 11 games this year with our schedule, but i don't think that's enough to make us a playoff-caliber football team which a top 5 ranking would suggest.

I've never been to the ad site before, I certainly don't search for stuff like that (albeit I'm an artist & photographer so maybe that's it?) & the other ads are for Fitbit (which I don't have interest in), a film I've never heard of (& I rarely watch TV or movies) & Hillshire Farms (which does sound tasty, albeit I haven't had it in years).
There is an Amazon ad, too, & I do use Amazon (it's a neat site!).
But definitely no Gamecock ads for me!

Yea I’m never on a lot of my ads either. A few are but 50/50 at best. I had Texas A&M come up…now who on this site actually goes to the A&M site. Never even crossed my mind.

My guy, I don't understand why you are so insistent I'm not a Clemson fan? Like, people don't insist you're a jalapeno because of your pic, do they?
I showed you my Clemson murals, I've posted my pics from on the field for Fête Greenville Magazine & at Howards Rock with Trevor Lawrence & the Royal Highland Fusiliers when they are in town, the podcast, my signed footballs, Coke bottles, et al.
Do you do this to other fans & I just don't notice or did I say something that somehow negates going to Clemson games since I was in my mom's womb?
I don't get it I guess is all, but hey, hopefully I'll be doing another Clemson national title mural soon!

In my experience, there are too many toxic, rude, judgmental people here who turned me off from resubscribing to Tigernet. Ignoring my direct responses, for example, doesn't seem like a fair excuse to continue to insist I'm not even a Clemson fan, know what I mean?
You don't get to say I don't support Clemson when you choose not to look, & I'm not trying to say our fundraisers, murals & interviews are any more supportive of Clemson University than weeding out rival fans on a message board, but even Coach Swinney wouldn't support some of the thoughts & behavior of many fans, right? Doesn't mean we would doubt Coach Swinney though, but still.
I prefer to represent Clemson as close to our leaders as I can & to inspire other fans with it & invite people to enjoy or learn to love Clemson, & maybe message boards just aren't the best place for that by nature. Responses like this certainly don't make me feel welcome (like I feel in Clemson), so I choose to speak my truth, live my life & wear my Clemson gear proudly & with an awareness of how much my behavior reflects on Clemson when I wear it.
Different strokes, I suppose, but I'm happy you have a place here, just consider not expecting people to be thrilled to give money out for these kinds of responses instead. Go Tigers!

Exactly; you missed ages ago in nearly the same conversation when I said I started a new account in the summer a few years ago with my website email address & social when I came back, notably after spending a few years on the Tigernet FB group & loving it (which I still do) & enough to check the boards out again.
Regardless, I don't think donating again here alone would be enough for my comments to be read & treated with more respect as an adult Clemson fan outright, nor would it stop the toxic speech, or even change your mind about how much I love & explicitly support Clemson & its leaders.
For example, itrue-signalling? Straw-man arguments? I don't understand what's going on or what I said so wrong (I'm certainly not a political guy by any means, for example), but good grief man, it feels like you're choosing to see what you expect & deliberately ignore the rest, including the best? Have you ever even listened to the podcast & seen who our guests are, even? It feels like you're trying to tell me gravity is a myth seconds after jumping out of an airplane; you might be right, but I still say pull the cord just in case.
Bottom line, the more you talk & deliberately show so little respect to me & others here, the more you say THIS is how Tigernet is supposed to be, why would you expect ANY fans to ever want to be paid members? You insist nobody else belongs in this boys' club except who you decide is worthy, then you say donate (again) & your behavior will change? I'm skeptical.
Still I'll take the bait; ask me to donate to Tigernet under the condition you'll respond to my comments like a fellow Clemson fan rather than skip over the comment itself & make off-topic accusations, & I'll join immediately, full stop. I would say just give us a “normal” seasons worth of injuries that other teams have and we are in the Top 10. Now from there it’s up to players and coaches to go up or down or maybe stay right there.

So with GA, after losing all that talent, is still top 5 then is that saying they are loaded with top tier unknowns, or an indictment against the rest of the nation. In that I mean with out all that talent they are still better than 95 percent of all the other teams regardless.

Like us when we dominate the ACC, they have a lot of depth that also got a ton of experience from reps last season, for example.
They are also finally adding a legitimate QB prospect, for example, & added players in the portal who have proven success, things like that.
Also, look at their schedule. I don't see many opportunities for a loss, just like us.

We certainly weren't a top 5 team last Season and we've lost both coordinators and have a huge question mark at QB this Season. No idea why we are ranked that high other than so they can enjoy calling us a disappointment all season if we still can't get a first down.
