when it comes CFP Committee time they can do anything they want regardless of polls. So we need to win games and see how it comes out. ranking in any given poll is just talking heads stuff.

You say that but it's usually very very close.
If FSU is such a weak team and took ND to overtime, won on an fsu missed fg, then how do they jump 2 spots.
Guess they're doing everything they can to get 3 SEC teams in the playoffs.

This seems fair enough given the offenses inability to overcome a stifling defense. I do think they were generous to Georgia though. They didn’t exactly overcome Clemson’s stifling defense either. I would have put them at 3.

Got to have uga at 2. If Miami had played Bama close, uga would have been 1 imo.
Lots of ball to be played but our path sadly is dependent on what everyone else does. Just pull for 4 ACC teams to do good. Nancy St, FSU VA Tech, and UNC.

I would have left OU at #2. I don’t think the score reflected OU’s performance. But it is a tough decision. I don’t think GA’s offense played well enough to be #2 in the country.

So we hold the #2 team’s offense to 3 points, and drop to #6 behind a team that barely held off Tulane and behind Texas A&M. Yeah that is SEC logic.

I’m with you. The difference in this game was a defensive TD. But GA was heavily rewarded while Clemson, who basically played the same game as Georgia was punished a little too much. I think they should have just swapped. Dropping OU because they won ugly doesn’t seem right. You punish a team that won?

Pollsters love to bash the Tigers by ranking them as low as possible each year. Now that we are entering the next phase of our season against weaker opponents, it will be difficult to move up to the top four unless a team above us loses, we run the table and we win by LARGE margins...

We lost.
Honestly, what did we do to be ranked higher than #6?
The four teams who moved ahead of us all won. One of them beat us.
I don't think we looked like a top 6 team on Saturday. We scored 3 points.

Maybe move up to # 2 based on our rushing stats. Or maybe # 3 based on the points we scored.
