Clemson depth chart for BC released

Clemson's depth chart for the Boston College game shows some transition on both sides of the ball. The depth chart largely reflects the action Saturday at NC State. On offense, sophomore Paul Tchio is listed as the starter at left guard over freshman Marcus Tate after making his first career start, Read Update »

OK, something is wrong

Tre Williams can't be 6'2" and 300lbs

He is either 5'9" and 300 lbs or 6'2" and 340 lbs

Whatever Tre is he was pretty disruptive against the Pack. This kid is going to be a good.

One!

I’m glad to see

Davis get the start. I’ve had a hard time finding Galloway during games, but I think this has more to do with blocking than anything.

Galloway blocks like a WR and catches like a Tackle.

I really thought he was going to bust out this year. It has been a rough start. I was hyping him up as a underrated weapon before the season, but he seems to have regressed. Lots of games left and he seems to have the most success past the LB’s or on that throwback trick play that burns UM every year…

Mahfa not playing and getting on the feild before Dukes and Rencher is a slap in the face. They better start recruiting 3 backs now because they will only have 3 when spring comes back around. This program in about to implode.

Putting the best guy on the field

Sep 27, 2021, 6:45 PM

really should be evaluated further. Makes far more sense to play the 6 year guy over them.

Guess you have to trust the coach’s. Then again why would you not get him any touch’s in other games if he was ready to play?

because the plan was to redshirt him***

Rencher is terrible. Have you not seen him? Dabo is bigger than him and he isn’t even fast. He is there for moral support. Mafah may be the real deal and I believe he is the best RB we have

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I think you were watching your own RBs, coot

Sep 28, 2021, 2:00 PM

There's a reason why he is where he is on the depth chart, but he's a good player:

Me thinks they were letting Galloway burn his redshirt (start for 4 games) so he would be less inclined to transfer. But I still think he is a liability even in a backup role. Glad Davis is starting, even if it is to just run block

You really think the coach’s would do that?

Why list 4 tight ends

Sep 27, 2021, 7:48 PM

when you only play 2?

Sep 27, 2021, 8:18 PM

Probably didn’t. They just put him there cause….you know…..not saying that Venables is not deserving, but I think we all know what the deal is. Carter will get his chance and i think he’s gonna do well for us. Go Tigers!

They are an experienced team. Will be tough this weekend!

I think Mafah has as more upside than Shipley as a pure RB. I think Shipley is gonna be great, but from the limited times I’ve seen Mafah (granted it’s HS and Spring game) I believe he has the X factor.

i'd say the goals are still the same... win the division, win the conference, win the closer. the only goal that can't be reached is winning the opener. so, as bad as it is, the goals that are left are still attainable.

You forgot: "win the state." Right now the trip to Cola, in seven weeks, looks iffy

With the thin depth at DT, I'd love to go to a 3 man front with KJ-Tre Williams-Murphy and have XT hovering around on both edges as a rusher....like a 3-4 LB type. I hate being this at DT, but being deep at DE and leaving a guy like KJ or XT off the field.

If there is anyone that can solve the puzzle of piecing together the most 'dudes' on the field at the same time it is Coach Venables. The man is a mad scientist.

KJ Henry and Xavier Thomas both being 2nd/3rd stringers

at this point is disappointing to say the least.

I'm starting to have an issue with the national recruiting analysts. I like to trust our coaches ability to recognize and develop potential. These guys were both top 10 recruits and are among my favorites. I love them as players but I hope recruits don't see things like this and get scared.

Tyler Davis doesn't have the most important ability:

Availability.

Kid can play but DANG is he having a hard time staying on the field. It doesn't matter how good you are if you can't do that.

I think we will play Justin Foster at DT too as we have more depth to fill in for him at DE.
