We should be Thankful for our great recruits! Most would love to recruit as well as we do. Dabo still seems to find superstar guys that are underdogs to go with the 5 stars!

I know it was printed on another website and how he didn't like the rankings too much. Talked about some of the kids that have come through here being ready etc and how some weren't. It was in his press conference. I thought it was very enlightening... Especially Vic Beasley, and especially trotter. I think DJ is a prime example. Things that went on that we'll never know.

It's too easy to fall into the star trap. Yes, it's a good indicator to an extent, but imo mostly of a guys athletic ability. Not so much his readiness.

Dee Crayton is a 4* LB in our 2023 class. He plays for Denmark HS in Alpharetta, GA, which is about 2 miles from my house. I ride over to the games on Friday night. So I get to see what we're bringing in. And if Dee Crayton isn't a "5 star" then I don't know what is.

This district here in GA is uber competitive. There are studs everywhere that'll be playing at the next level. Crayton absolutely takes over. He lights dudes up like it's nothing. Every play. He will be playing on Sundays.

I still follow the recruiting sites and am interested in where Clemson ranks, but based on personal experience, they're not perfect at rating talent coming out of high school.

The recruit rankings are very subjective

as evidenced by Peter Woods at #9 and a 5 star on ESPN and #53 and a 4 star on 247. That's a big discrepancy.
