Similar to last year, if our offense/passing game can be just average or slightly above, we run the table.

I truly believe that 2022 regular season will end with Clemson 12-0, and if it doesn't somebody needs to be fired, or demoted to the bottom of the pile!!!!

Darn. Was hoping they'd say 9-4 or something. Hahaha. Wish I'd get paid to make predictions. I'd be rich.
Me say 14-0 with pending natty toss up game with (I'd be thrilled if it was Oklahoma) but most likely Bama rematch. Would love it if we played Utah in the semifinals...
I've had 3 fans from utes tweet me congratulations on the commit they were hoping to get.

If Clemson makes the title game, it will be against OSU or Bama. If not Clemson, those two will be the matchup.

I fully expect Clemson to beat ND, and I doubt it will be that close a game.

We never lose to the "best" teams anyway

The irony is that while Notre Dame is the most competitive team on the schedule, we never lose to those teams in the regular season; we lose to teams like Syracuse or NC State when they weren't competitive.
I get the suggestion of losing to Notre Dame, for sure, but it's also the "best" loss we could have too since it simply wouldn't affect our ability to win the ACC outright like any other loss could.

It is hard for me to understand. They are going into the year with a new coaching staff, and I believe a new QB. I know last year's QB has played 4 years out of 5 but I am never sure with COVID rules.
It's hard to think that ND would be considered more talented. There is no way that you consider a new coaching staff to be better than Dabo and company even with all of the changes. Their only advantage is South Bend where DJ might have had his best game. Why would anybody pick ND?

That would be a great year and even better if we win the ACC and get in a New Year's 6 bowl.

It may just be a whole bunch of Yankee Optimism, but just

about everything you read on the Lugubrious Leprechauns seems to indicate three things.
1) Brian Kelly left the cupboard fully stocked.
2) For some reason, they seem to think the players will play better for this new coach, moreso even than they did for Kelly.
3) They expect them to beat Clemson this year.
I don't really have that hard a time believing the second one, after seeing Kelly's lame attempts to fit in down in Red Stick.
I don't care about the first one.
The third one, they are going to be disappointed, again.
Go, Tigers!

I agree with you. I think with better play calling this year and better OL play, which I have little doubt will happen, we will be in the hunt all the way through the end. Can’t wait to see.

Doesn't matter

None of it matters.
Yes, they have a ton of talent & will be the most competitive team on the schedule again, no question.
But the bottom line is it doesn't matter. We won't lose our other two OOC games & Notre Dame doesn't affect our opportunity to win the ACC outright.
It's the biggest game & the most meaningless one on the schedule; literally any other loss would be vastly worse by nature, so this game simply doesn't matter & that's why I can't really care what they predict or worry about what happens. It's a scrimmage; avoid injury as best as possible and move on.

Looking at ND s roster I'm not impressed with whoever they trot out there at QB. I think there will be an upset in South Bend. Take the tigers and 3.

Our toughest game will be against North Carolina State or Wake Forest and we will win both of those, ND won’t even be in this game.
We owe them a big zero, 30-0 type game in my opinion!

So we win every game but ND?

Sounds right, and ND literally doesn't matter any more than Furman in terms of controlling our path to the ACC title.
I still think we can beat Notre Dame. They're the most competitive team on the schedule, but since it really doesn't matter I'm a little conflicted now that I think about it. Getting out of there with few injuries seems vastly more important than actually winning the game.
10.5 wins is one of the best bets you'll ever get, IMO. Grab it immediately!
