Them sumbitches got triple their money's worth out of Ellington as a 6 round pick. Ii have really tried to get back into watching the NFL, but it's really hard for hard core college FB fans to have any respect for the NFL when seeing just how dirty and non caring for players that has give them their all to be kicked off a team after a couple of injuries. The NFL is nothing more than a bunch of double dirty using sumbitches!!!

Yeah....you said it. They wonder why they're losing fans. There is no loyalty from the team to the players. I understand it's a business and all, but Ellington was playing as well as the other backs.
To hell with the NFL. I like college football way more anyway.

I'm surprised. I thought AE had played an important role

this season, and performed it quite well. He's not a 250 lb, 25 carries a game, go to RB. But he absolutely excels as that second back that can do it all. I thought he was a valuable asset to Arizona, and will be for somebody else.

Makes you wonder if this was done out of respect for Ellington. He wasn't getting many touches, his age is climbing quickly for a running back, and the Cardinals aren't going anywhere in the near future. Maybe he can latch on with a playoff team as a change of pace guy and get a shot at the playoffs.

Hasn’t he been hurt lately? Maybe it was more serious than originally thought***

That is all.

I hope so, but the NFL is so ultra-conservative In giving second looks to players they didn’t draft, especially mid-season, I’m not so sure

Panthers need to give him a call

He'd be a much better option than Johnathan Stewart that is for sure.
