This kid is really good, so it’s really strange all the crap coming from Clemson fans about Arch.

I'm not criticizing the kid...I'm happy he is coming but I do question the application of his skills to our style of play... Isn't a significant challenge our current qb has had to deal with is the fact that he is pro style and not dual threat?

I hate when people don’t do their homework before criticizing a player. Vizzina is an extremely gifted runner. Often eluding tacklers or simply running over them. Watch his tape and come back and tell us your concerns you have whether he fits our offense.

the problem with DJ is he has happy feet and won't make a decision and make the throw using a throwing motion, he has been using his arm strength vs good throwing motion. He was hurt last year so he almost never pulled and ran the ball, defenses did not have to really worry too much about him running, if you go back and watch almost any game when the end crashed down he did not pull the ball and the obvious results... when he did throw alot of his passes were not on target...
Hope this changes this year I know he spent alot of time off season working on the throwing motion, he looked better in the spring game in that regard, more touch on the passes.. Time with the receivers should yield better results.

Key being accuracy. Don't need that WOW throw that might work 20% of the time. Move the chains and control the ball.

I very much like him as an option

He'll probably sit behind Cade Klubnik for a couple years, but if he's willing to wait it out then he's got an excellent shot for 1-2 years of being a starter. Also possible he'll be depth that will get passed by a 2024 5-star and then transfer, but those type players are just as important to our team.
We wouldn't have won a Championship in 2018 without Chase Brice. That was after 4 QBs transferred out (Bryant, Cooper, Johnson, and Israel). The fact that we had 6 QBs entering the 2018 spring ended up being critical.
I hope Vizzina is the next Watson or Lawrence, but I'm perfectly ok with him being the next Chase Brice as well. Im even ok with him being the next Hunter Johnson (who is who he reminds me of the most of the bunch). Hunter Johnson was critical to our 2018 Championship run if only for the fact that he was a huge reason why Amari Rogers and Tee Higgins were on the team.

I think that Vizzina will be like Klubnik, better than initially advertised, only Vizzina is taller.
