Two take aways from that: -Seeing the roster breakdown If the Orange team dosnt win handily I will be a bit concerned (See: last year's spring game).
-White team will likely air it out a lot, although to who we shall see.

Wow. Thought the list at the bottom was about our highlight players, instead it’s the ones not playing. Talk about having your best players sidelined….

some of these scout team guys get their moment. I'll look at this as a "Celebration of Clemson Football Players We May Never Hear of Again" or "C2FPWMNA" (pronounced see-TOOF-wum-na). Go Tigers!

Looking closely at the rosters, it will be almost impossible to field some a position groups without several playing out of position. Also, zero chance for the starting OL to use the game to gain any live fire continuity. The game will be more about identifying individuals accomplishments that team chemistry, although this probably isn't new.
Would be nice to have starting defense on one team and starting offense on the other. Obviously this would signal first stringers. After that divide up the rest of the players using the same system used today so not to run off guys who aren't currently on the two deep roster.

That’s how the spring game used to be structured. The offense always won.

Wonder how many of those 18 guys being held out could

actually play if this were the season opener? Some have been recuperating for a long time already.
I know there is a lot on hand-wringing going on about the long list of the injured, but right now a fair percentage of those guys could play, but are are probably being held because coaches know what they can do and the real need for them to be ready doesn’t come until August.
Just get through this Saturday without anything new.
By August, this entire squad will look a lot healthier and will be ready to play.

will be hard to use the injuries as an excuse..i remember that was used when bryant was horrible in the spring game and lawrence looked great " well bryant is a runner and cant really run in the spring game thats why he was bad" was tossed around a ton that year

Personally, I think some of you are missing a clue about how the teams were picked. Reed got to pick the defense first but Richardson got to pick the offensive team first and he picked the White team. Uh.. QB for that team is Cade. Hmm, is that some kind of clue?

I hear what you are saying, and may be right, but if so that's really kinda bad because outside of QB MAYBE being a push, Orange has the better offense as well. They Got Mafah, Ngata etc. White has Cade and Dacari, Jake and a BUNCH of walk ons. I'm stoked to see Cade though.

I was looking for the same thing after yesterday's interview where Coach Swinney said that K.Richardson would pick the White Team offense first (by default). I wanted to see whch QB he'd choose. However, I thought their video showed that the Passing Game coordinator chose a walk-on RB as his first pick. Maybe the video is edited and Dominique Thomas wasn't his first pick. But, to me, I felt like our Passing Game Coordinator basically chose to not put himself in a position to choose one QB over another (by choosing a RB first).
I hope I'm wrong though... That might mean that he chose not to issue a public challenge to one of his QBs. As a fan, I would've liked to have seen the players' reactions to not being chosen.
I guess football is my soap opera ????

Wait, I'm wrong. The teams were already split. Nice pick...

White keeps it close or wins, that would be interesting. Then again, it is a Spring Game and a real win is to get through without long-term injury while these guys form the 2022 squad. Go Tigers!
