There are thousands of kids in South Carolina that play baseball from the time they can walk, but a major college program has to recruit nationally to be successful. When you take the draft and the fact that there are dozens of schools that have good programs, the pool of actual talent is thin and national recruiting is a must.

One part that stands out the most to me is the due diligence reference. This process didn't just start yesterday - he and his team have been scouting the landscape prior and determined there were legitimate and obtainable opportunities for the position at the present time. At least that's what it sounded like. That bodes well both for this search and those that may lie ahead. Sure hope he hits this one out of the park.

Sho 'Neff.....CBB better buckle up bc he's next if he doesn't produce this season. Neff isn't playing around and I fully appreciate it. I'm sure every coach at Clemson is a great person or we wouldn't have hired em but having someone who isn't scared to make the tough decisions like Neff just did is priceless. I like our future behind Graham. Go Tigers!!!

Okay I think the baseball program has been broken ever since Jack Leggett left. There needs to be some sort of olive branch or fence mending done between Clemson Athletics and Jack Leggett. He recently went on a podcast and spoke for over an hour and he feels like there isn’t enough recognition for what he and his players did while they were there. Also, if we plan on hiring any of Jack’s former assistants to Clemson how are we going to do that when there is tension between Jack and Clemson? I just think if this baseball program is going to improve this problem needs to be resolved.

Nobody is worried about Jack and except for 2-3 coaches we can’t get anyway would turn down this job solely because of Jack.
