He handled that well and shows a good knowledge for the game. His future is bright.

Our coaches have always said that they would put the best players in the game, and I think that most of us thought that was coach speak bc, we've always known that Dabo has kind of favored the guys that's been on the team the longest.
There has been those time that an elite receiver has come and started as a true freshman, but I think that Shipley has been the first for a RB, and that is bc the RB position is a harder position to get it all down for a true freshman, so I guess it is the best player on the field that has done everything that the coaches have ask them to do bc, no body actually expected Shipley to start in a game as big as the UGG-A was....

He's needed in the slot

I love Justyn Ross and every other recieber on the team but a smaller, shiftier, sure handed guy is needed for that position a lot of times. Ross is quick but he isn't a 3 step to full speed guy. Shipley can provide that while Stelleto is groomed. Pace and Dixon can handle the RB duties on 75% of downs.

That’s exactly what I was thinking! Why come our coaching staff doesn’t see this?
