Venables still not satisfied despite superlative defensive effort

The last time the Clemson defense played back-to-back games without allowing a touchdown dates all the way back to 2017 when the Tigers opened the season with a 56-3 win over Kent State and allowed just two field goals to Auburn the following week. Clemson has opened the 2021 season allowing just two field goals, one to Georgia and against South Carolina State. Full Story »

No, but a depth test!
When Clemson has a top Defense, the offense can develop through the season.
We have the talent to develop into a championship team.
Our special teams appear to be the best in years, we just have to get better each week.
Plenty of games down the road to grow offensively.

Its sad, but we have a National Championship defense and a Outback Bowl offense. If we can put both pieces together, then we may have a chance to beat Bama if we face them. Only time will tell.
