Trevor Lawrence enters defensive huddle at right time for a pep talk

Clemson’s defense was gassed. The Tigers had just allowed a touchdown that trimmed the Tiger to lead to one point, and North Carolina called a timeout to plan a 2-point conversion to try and take the lead.

Why do dogs always race to the door when the doorbell rings? It's almost never for them.

Tigers really need to work

On that onside kick against the Heels. The last time in the championship game was almost a recovery in the closing seconds of the game.

It was...by half time the UNC bench was in the shade, our bench in the sun until well into the 4th quarter. There was no reprieve, that sun was merciless and it was HOT.

The highest temperature ever recorded in the US was 134F in Death Valley, CA in 1913. I think someone read the thermometer wrong!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Temperature reading depends on several factors.

Sep 30, 2019, 6:50 PM

If a thermometer was placed in the sun & very close to the turf, it could conceivably give a reading if 150F. Especially if there is asphalt or some other heat-trapping material underneath the turf (though I have no idea what is actually beneath that surface at Kenan).
For any temperature reading to be "official" or deemed "accurate", the device must be placed in continual shade & 5 feet above the ground, since either direct sunlight or radiational cooling from the ground can distort readings.

That’s what happens when you don’t go to class.
