JUST THINK - ONLY 11 POINTS....

|
|
....Separate this team from being in the top 6 in the ACC !!!
January - Boston College - lost 68 - 70 January - Duke - lost 69 - 71 February - UNC - lost 77 - 79 February - FSU - lost 80 - 81
11 points to win those games would also have added a # 4 ranked team to our resume and two top 3 ACC teams.
Regardless of what all the haters say, I love this team and believe in this coaching staff! I'm excited about next season and hope we can win a couple more games next week!
GO TIGERS !!!

Agree completely. A team that’s easy to root for. Love the grit. Hope they can win a couple at ACCs and find their way into the NIT. Would be a good way for the seniors to go out and to get the younger guys additional big-game experience.

They didn't play that well today plus Hunter needs to get his mojo back.
Probably could beat any team in the ACC now but not 4 in 4 days.
Would love to see Collins get another game against dook in the coach K invitational.

Every team in America could say this and it is only an excuse.
Duke Lost by 5,2, 1, and 1 this year
9 points and Duke would be undefeated

Coaching is why we lost those games. It’s a shame this team is wasted and not in the NCAA tournament. As a matter of fact in 10 of our 15 losses we were tied or leading inside of 5-10 minutes to go in the game. Inexcusable losses cost this team who no doubt has fought for respectability here at the end through the injuries. The lack of quality recruiting by this staff is not acceptable through 11-12 years of chances. Change is needed. I hope we can manage 2-1 in the ACC tournament and beg for an NIT bid…who knows maybe we can find some Cinderella magic GO TIGERS!!!

The first sane post in the thread. I love the team and players. Beyond sick of the staff. Brownell is playing checkers while the other are playing chess. The best is the standard. Not perennial failure to make the post season. Only one tourney counts. Brownell has performed exactly as Dino Babers. Truth. For those of you calling us haters, wake up. Fan is short for fanatic. We’re the ones that screamed for Hatfield’s, Bowden’s, Shyatt’s, Brownell’s and West’s heads. We screamed for Lawrence to start over Bryant. You called us haters but were on board once those changes were made. What’s worse: a blind cheerleader or a pragmatic fan? It doesn’t change our love and support of the team. God knows I’ve filled seats through terrible coaches. It just means we see a problem and want it fixed.

I am so happy for every win this team has won, especially the ones they have won towards the end of this season. But with how talented this team is, and how good they can be, this was a disappointing season. I know that injuries can hurt the best of the best teams, but this team lost games this season that were winnable with the stars in the game.
As much as some hate hearing the same ole song, but a really good NCAA coach could have won all those games that this team lost during the season in the late second half, or in the last minutes of those games. And again, with a better coach this team could have went deep into the big dance, if we would have won those games that were lost I believe by crappy coaching!!!

Better coaches do not want to coach at Clemson. I would refer you to cootlumbia and their last two searches for a football coach. Their low rent fans thought they would have TL their pick of coaches and every big name was discussed on their message board. The guys they wanted were not interested so they ended up with their 7th choice. Would be much better to find a way to support CBB than start a coaching carousel which is a program killer for non destination fobs like bball at Clemson

Coaches are no longer scared to coach in the ACC. UNC is a shell of its former self and so is Virginia compared to recent years. Duke is losing Coach K and Boehiem (sp. no clue) will not be far behind. There is not a single program that anyone is likely to think is a perpetual tournament team.
Despite the recent knock on Clemson fans, they get behind the team when they feel like there is something to support. You can call them fair-weathered, but they are all in when the weather is good. It might take a little money and good salesmanship on the part of Neff, but this might be the best chance ever for Clemson to find a quality coach.
Besides a new coach could be awful and he will still have more support for a few years. It would take Brownell a few years of solid tournament teams to regain large scale support from the fan base. We have seen this show for 12 years. It is time to pull the plug.

Sure they do. We just won't allow them to because we're holding the program hostage with BrownL. Our athletic department and fan base is elite, and over the last decade has soared to even greater heights. BrownL has squandered and eroded that support over the years by having no real identity other than the 'wheel of destiny' results from game to game, plus a lack of connection with the community and apparently no real goals other than "don't suck". We can and should do better.

I completely disagree. Support and resources bring coaches. How were the tiny colleges* able to recruit great coaches and make runs to the title?! Who would want to coach at Gonzaga based on your assessment. Any coach with a pulse right now! Clemson can hire anyone they want to if they get the administration motivated to win.
* schools like Gonzaga, Baylor (not tiny, not attractive), Murray State, Providence, and Villanova.

Too little too late, Brownell Must Go! Brownell has had 9 seasons, how many more before the AD gets it, the man can't Coach! So from now on its on AD Neff, is he willing to risk his job? Just ask Terry Don, he's knows how to pick winners
