It kind of sounds like excuses are already being cooked up if things go the way they really expect them go, all screwed up!!!

R E L A X We are gonna be ok. DJ was more heavily recruited than Trevor remember? Games in between his ears right now, carrying the program is difficult for a sophomore being thrown into the stage that was created by greats. Pipe down and let it play. These kids Have thin skin away from the field because they’re kids. This type of criticism is not helping anyone other than the writer for whatever reason.

Well, he wasn't more heavily recruited than Trevor because TL was the best high school QB recruit of all time. But, I like your point. He was heavily recruited and has some talent.
I can't believe all the negative comments right now. People act like Dabo doesn't know anything and has never coached the Tigers to any national titles. He'll get it fixed and if he doesn't, heads will roll after the season is over just like he did at DC when the defense gave up a 150 points in a bowl game.

Lol its no Death Valley but it's not quiet either and they'll be fired up Saturday night. Especially considering a lot of these players haven't played a true college road game due to COVID, it's important to make sure they are prepared for it.

but, like uof6c, most of them generally leave in the third quarter when the buzz starts wearing-off and they start getting headaches.

It's been years since I've heard reports of this at Carter-Finley Stadium but I heard that urine would often cascade down the stands under the seats from above. Did they ever stop doing it?

The last time I was there, which will be the last time I'll go there, most of the noise came over the loud speaker and not from the fans. And it was a pretty close game. The fans are poor losers, poured a drink on a NC State female that is a friend of mine, and were just plain rude. I'll watch it from home thanks.

Carter Finley is a very tough place to win in and this year, every Pack player and fan believes they can win. Somehow, some way, we have got to have a good drive early, gain confidence and silence the wild crowd.

Well Dabo's ears may be ringing, but never have I read an article where Dabo seems to have more excuses than solutions to an anemic offense. This game scares me because I think the Pack have us exactly where they want us. You have the fan base calling out Tony Elliott play calling, or wishing for Jeff Scott, you had the distraction of Spiller/Dixon, you have a quarterback who after 2 games( I'm not counting S.C. State) looked better in that double overtime loss last year at Notre Dame than he did against either of those schools across the state line, and you have a wide receiver, Justyn Ross, who should be out wide, IMO, and not in the slot. Add to that an "O"-line that can't seem to get an edge, and I see TROUBLE ( as in the song from "The Music Man"). And that is not a good song that should be ringing in anybody's ear.

Maybe some of the ear ringing is coming from fans and media that have expressed their concerns.

I don't understand the people commenting about this being a "home game" for Shipley. Just because it's in the same state doesn't mean it's closer to home. Clemson is about 2.5 hours from Weddington, and Raleigh is 2 hours 45 minutes (on a good day with no traffic). It's actually closer to home for him to stay in Death Valley. Maybe this is just the geography teacher in me coming out, and the fact that I lived 20 minutes from Weddington and spent 2 years driving back and forth to Raleigh every other weekend.
