Coach is right, you have to start somewhere, but I really don't see where going up against a team as GT with the RS or true sophomore, junior, and senior talent that GT still have left over from the Paul Johnson triple option offense. Our coaches know everyone of those guys what they're probably capable of in a spread offense like we run. So I really don't think there will be any huge surprises for our coaching staff.

I think that the only difficulties in this game will come from replacing all the talent that we lost to the NFL, and getting the new/replacements to gel and finding out who the true starters will be from this game forward. In other words, our most difficult problems will come within our own on the D side of the ball, but I have 100% faith in BV getting his D to clicking on all 11,15-16 whatever he will need bc, he hasn't failed us since coming to be the DC at Clemson in 2012, and he has better talent now than he inherited in 2012. The longer the season goes forward without any major irreplaceable injuries, I believe that BV will have his D in championship form by the time December gets here. We will beat GT, Go Tigers!!!

You’re right, Will be interesting to see what he comes up with. Always have faith in CBV and Dabo.

but missing on DT’s in 17 and 18 class hurt as well as only taking two in 16 knowing Dex was only a 3 year... then Belk, Shaq, tre leaving and we knew Jefferies was a project. Just so much either can do but throw the young guys in there and let them make mistakes.

Gotta hope the backers and corners can hold down the fort and our DE’s play lights out.

You know, GT could pull a Pitt and lean on a run-based offense, game management and decent defense to win the Coastal. They have enough on that front to make it plausible.... just not likely.

I think that the only upside to this game with "unknows" is to see how our disciplined our D will start out on a bunch of unknowns leading into T A&M

Collins is going to be calling some tricky stuff. He is an aggressive and sneaky gamesman. The stuff he pulls off.....he won't mind rubbing your face in it throughout the game.

He is an enthusiastic guy from peeking in on him a few times when he was at Temple. It's not Temple but he has been aggressive recruiting in Georgia that almost annoys that other legendary D1 program up 85 N from them that wears red and black.

There is going to be some wild moments early.....but I like our atmosphere. ??
