CDS has got to adapt, no way around it. Clemson will be and already is being left behind. If the portal was the only thing working against us then it would be different but with the NIL and portal against us it is going to put heavy cracks in the foundation of what he was able to build here. You can't be a developmental program and continue being elite in today's CDB. Just my two sense.

So what would you suggest Dabo to do now, pull up at Clemson being that it's doomed when it comes to having competitive athletics bc the city of Clemson isn't big enough to support the NIL arena as the much larger cities can.

I assure you, Dabo could take his way of doing things, and be very successful at a school like a GT in the huge Atlanta area, and he would be just as successful as he has been at Clemson as long as the administration was behind him as they are at Clemson!!!

Symptom of the times. The Rule of Law in in the US is dead

Why do we think CFB should be any different?
Don’t want to enforce a law? Just ignore it. Commit a crime, even a serious one, and you’re out of jail hours later. Don’t want to arrest people for illegal harassment of Supreme Court Justices at their homes? Ignore it.
We will crash and burn with this attitude. It seems all on purpose to me. Tear it down so we can Build Back Better? Yep

That was a lot of passive aggressive whining about "law breaking" when the NCAA doesn't make laws...

Also, it's not illegal to protest outside of someone's house. Whether you believe it is morally the right thing to do, that's up to you--but don't be a moron and say it's illegal when it clearly isn't. Something tells me that you've argued that your 1st amendment rights are being taken away sometime in the last 6 months--yet you're trying to infringe on theirs.

Ummm... think you need to read 18 U.S. Code § 1507. The purpose of these "protests" outside the Justices homes is to influence (mostly through intimidation) the Justices to change their position on Roe v. Wade. Attempting to influence a Judge is a Federal crime - period....

I’ll stick with Dabo’s two sense.

Seems like Dabo has an idea how things might end up...

May 14, 2022, 12:26 PM

and is OK with it.
