…NC State to have a “play for broke”, “win at all cost”, “nothing to lose”, “season ending” mentality on this game.

Clemson better be ready for NC State to do ANYTHING…I mean ANYTHING.
This will be DIRTY, DASTARDLY, IMMORAL, & DISGUSTING.

This is a old fashioned knock down drag out and the team that keeps their poise and makes fewer mistakes will walk out a winner. 27-23 Tigers.

Well he didn't mention any injured players though. But yes, he said no timeline. And it's sore.

Dabo sounds like Coach Wooden (UCLA). He used to say that for every high, there is a corresponding low. It is the same message. To be consistent, the motivation must come from within, not external. Also, when you hear about their coaching rooms and the contributions they all make, his promoting from within does not sound so strange.

His tendency to promote from within has never seemed strange to me. Dabo has a very defined, consistent process that produces the culture that he maintains in his program. We know that he does not recruit players that do not fit into the culture. That fit is even more important for coaches. If someone outside the program is available and is a good fit (BV) then Dabo might hire from the outside, but even then there is some degree of “unknown”. The best way to know for sure a coach is a good fit is to develop him within the program. It’s not rocket science. I developed management teams at multiple facilities during my career and the process and thinking is exactly the same. Just because someone doesn’t have experience in a particular position, it doesn’t mean that he hasn’t been being groomed for that position for some time.

I would not be worried at all about this game if our defense was just what we thought it would be. My concern for this season was the offense and so far the offense has been vastly improved. Especially DJ. State has a pretty good defense and I’m very worried Leary is going to nickel and dime us to death all night. We can’t lose this one, I hate State worse than USC right now because of the kunt they have at HC. The DC needs to step it the F up this weekend. I couldn’t stomach a loss to this trash program again.

Brent Venables is a force. Wes Goodwin is whatever
the opposite is....as far as personalities go..Does this
have anything to do with the lack of voracity of this year’s
defense knowing the quality of players we have?
What do y’all think?
