Star Power: NFL legacy Arch Manning to visit Clemson in June

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney’s high school camps are set to resume next month, and it’s obvious from the early returns that they won’t lack for star power. And when it comes to star power, there isn’t a family name that says that for quarterbacks more than the last name Manning. Full Story »

I'm not afraid to compare this Manning kid, he looks a lot like another #16 that we just had at Clemson, and he was drafted as the #1 pick in the 1st round of 2021 NFL draft to the Jacksonville Jags!!!

Manning is already close to the same size as our TL16 as a sophomore, and he seem to be able to make some of the same difficult throws but, our TL16 is a generational QB that don't come along to often, and expecting the Manning kid to be as good, or dare we say better than a Trevor Lawrence, those could be words that you could choke on ;)

This is going to be a battle, and probably will be uphill against a few SEC SEC Schools, but I sure would love to land him!

If the State of South Carolina doesn't have an NIL law

passed by then, you can forget it. Recruiting will die on the vine. Not happy about that situation at all, but it will be a fact of life, and we better get with the program or get left in the lurch.

Considering the other Mannings went to SEC schools, I agree that it might be a little more difficult to lure him our way.

This will be interesting. Based on family history and bloodlines, I cannot get excited until after he names his final teams in the next year or so. Not all publicity is always good but this can't hurt.
