No doubt the tackle and DE positions were short-handed last year and that hurt. We have big, strong guys on the line and if they play like they are capable, we will be back to being a Top 5 defense.

Why cut them short when the talent is there to be the #1 defense this coming season if, all the veterans are back, and pretty much healthy, the younger guys are more than talented enough for giving the veterans a breather when/if they need it! We won't play many teams that are able to keep our D on the field by getting a lot of 1st down possessions.

Honestly with the talent behind the veterans, we could see something very close to our 2018 defense when speaking of our defense as a whole, and how good they play will mostly be up the coaching, and how good Goodwin is going to be as a DC in the game, and making in game adjustments, something that BV was pretty good at doing!!!!

A number of linebackers, corners, and safeties will really need to step up this year in order for this defense to achieve a top three national ranking being talked about!!!!

Always looked at with a critical eye. I think the worst thing said about a position group on either side this Spring was "an insider said that we're going to be surprised with how good ___ is".

No other conclusion than we're going to go 15-0 and win every game by 40 points.

Astute observation. How can you be so right and only have a 43% pulse? SMH

As a guy who started following football since before most of you were even born, I can agree with the SMH. How can anyone be negative about this program after what Dabo has proven over the past few years? It's just mind blowing to me how some of these guys just can't handle a 10-3 season. If you don't think Clemson will be back, you need to start following sewing or knitting competitions or find something else to take up your time. This is a solid, well built program.

I don't think it's about the sky is falling as much as it is about not making it in the playoffs. It had gotten to expecting to be in the playoffs. In the playoffs, a natty is up for grabs, not making it to the playoffs, the natty is totally out of the question, and that led to a bunch of over reacting with part of the fan base!!!!

Would love to hear coaches say that Demonte Capehart has ...

... “turned the corner”!

What a huge addition he would be to an already deep and talented DL.

Feeling very good about the overall defense.

Offensively, the running game alone can carry us to another 10 win season.

The difference between 10-3 and 15-0 will almost certainly be the return of solid QB and WR play.

Skalski and Spector combined for 520 career games? Wow!
