Does it matter? Maybe he gave a bunch back and is quiet about it. Maybe he kept it all. Maybe he's a little chagrined over the deal compared to his performance and doesn't want to draw attention to either.
Seeing someone lifting other people up doesn't mean we have to tear someone else down in the process. Altruism isn't zero sum.

How much of you're money did you donate at age 19? Stop trying to beat up a CLEMSON player that hasn't done anything but represent the school the best he can. Whatever expectations you put on him thats on you. Was he not supposed to take the money?

I have donated all my life and still do. You will see me at many natural disasters volunteering my time and money. How about you and Fervent ?

It's a shame when the discussion changes to the ol' "whippin' it out".
Donations of time and money to various causes are awesome. I participate and encourage everyone to do so, be they religious, societal, environmental, or whatever. Our community is where most of us can really have an impact.
Whether someone is well off and donates a lot or struggles and only donates time where they can, I don't think it is anyone else's business or measuring stick. Regardless, thank you for what you've done to help after disasters. I'll keep doing what I do and hoping that it makes an impact.

Hmm at 19... Must not have had to work through college and pay for everything (even with my LIFE scholarship). Or if you did it was before tuition cost sky rocketed. But I did donate my time to many organizations (Habitat, Project Hope, Botanical Gardens). But you missed the point, why are we constantly attacking DJU? The original post was about Shipley...
