Monte! Just FYI, we are putting you on notice now! While he appears to be a good mentor for Clemson, he has taken us to new lows in recent yrs. If Monte doesn't show huge improvement which for some reason as much as I like him, I don't have high hopes for him. Please prove me wrong!

I believe Monte is going to rise up out of the clay to be a good coach, I believe the team this year will be much better than last year & might even host a regional.

No point to talk to these people. Monte has had 1 bad season. People cry about super regionals. We have had tough regionals every year we are in. We had vandy twice, a very solid Oklahoma state, and ole miss. Every team we loss to made it to Omaha. The best team we have had under him the season got canceled. We were 14-3 and won all 4 of our series we played. Last season sucked but we were young. Let’s see what happens this year.

Lol. Those excuses were great.
Why was Monte hired? It dang sure wasn’t to just make regionals. Jack already did that. And who was the better team/favored in those three regionals we hosted? Because it wasn’t Ok St and Vandy.
The FACT is that he’s taken a college baseball powerhouse and in his 7th year had them out of the preseason top 50 for the first time in a long long time. His teams constantly underperform and make the same stupid mistakes over and over again. He’s a slave to analytics and has zero feel for in game management.

Kinda sorta agree with the "slave to analytics" but seems to me he is a slave to the long ball as has no clue about how to manufacture a run when only one is needed. Watching his teams attempt to bunt, or hit & run, etc. is worse than bad and is normally taught to players at the Little League level. If you can't even square around and lay one down for the team, ya got no chance. We have 150 lb. banjo hitters swinging for the fences on every at bat no matter the situation. Never going to work except on the 4 times they connect during the year. Bad baseball.

It was really unfortunate that we had the covid season canceled with that dominant pitching staff. That was a potential cws team. But I will also add that this is going to be something of a make or break year for him. This is a talented team and if they don't play well...hot seat.

I don’t disagree, but Clemson needs to get past of making excuses for Coach Lees teams underachieving, below 500 ball is unexceptable it’s either recruiting needs to be better or Clemson Coaches are not knowledgeable on fundamentals in better pitching and the need for much better offense. I don’t want for Clemson to start over with new Coaching “but” if Clemson doesn’t show improvement at beginning and as the season moves along there has been enough time to get quality players and get Coach Lees involvement show of our players showing significant improvement it has to either be talent or our Coaches not knowing what to do for their players getting better, no excuses get Clemson program back to what very good history in Clemson Baseball has been for most of my life , I was born a Clemson Tiger 58 years ago, and I know we haven’t been great every year but consistently above average. GO TIGERS LETS GET IT DONE
