Monday news and notes: Coaches and players preparing for "big test" against Texas A&M

Nothing compares to a big game week in Clemson. No. 1 Clemson takes on No. 12 Texas A&M Saturday afternoon in Death Valley, a rematch of last year’s thrilling 28-26 Tiger victory. None of the talk means anything at this point, but I will say that Mond was still playing in the 4th Qtr for A&M, and TL was taken out with 5 or 6 minutes left in the 3d Qtr. With as lack luster, off keyed as our guys looked against GT, TL and the Offense still scored a lot of points against another ACC team. Mond was still playing in the 4th Qtr trying to score points against a Sun Belt Conference team, Texas St, at Kyle Field, College Station, home of the 12th man, if that matters at all, just saying....

Two different philosophies. Score as many points vs let's get as many guys in the game to give them meaningful snaps. The first works in the short run. The second works for down the road. I think Clemson is expecting to participate in big games down the road. Somewhat surprising for TAMU. I mean, you think they would want to give their first teams some rest so they don't get tired. ;)

You worry about players getting hurt, if you really don't need them on the field.
