Great story. Need to start him in the slot this week and rotate him with ship.

17 yards is a legit punt return. The best I can remember in a long time. And Chad Diehl was one tough back. The young man has seen some 1st class ballers over the past few years and will be leaving with some serious rings! Congrats!!

He's done a good job on returns

Shows no fear, and that is a position where you can get blasted. Has that initial quickness a returner needs. Tough kid.
Many complain about guys like this, Rencher, even Will Swinney earning scholarships. Thing is, they've earned them. They have roles they've filled and done well in them. I want guys like this on the team. They make other players better busting their butts on scout team. When they are seniors, have no issue with them being on scholarship

I have never had a thing against a guy earning his way, and awarded a scholarship if he actually helps the team as a player, they deserve to be rewarded. But those legacy scholarships, they make me cringe throughout my entire body, especially when there has been walk ons that has been practicing, and playing on the scout team, and still paying their way through school. Then here comes an X players son that hasn't been to their first practice yet, and they enter Clemson with a FB scholarship, that isn't right, and I don't care how you tell it bc, it's Fcked up!!!

They can't name anyone not named Venables or Swinney. If the coaches kids playing keeps this amazing & successful staff in tact, then give them all scholarships. End of story.

The problem is we have 10 5-9 walk on guys on scholarship but lack functional depth at multiple positions. Makes zero sense to a reasonable person

Kid gets 1 target in slot vs Pitt, peels out and gets 12 yards and the 1st down. Haven't seen him get a target before or after that. A team that hasn't had any slot production all year, and he's sitting on the bench.
This is a valid coaching criticism.
Play this kid.

This young man is very impressive. One of the best player interviews I've seen in a long time. Makes me proud to be a CU alumnus. I'm confident Mr. Brown will be successful no matter where his future takes him.
