Love it! I believe that Trenton Simpson should have started his Freshman season.
I am very happy to see a change at defensive leadership.
7 year seniors that were barely 2 star prospects and friends of the coaches' sons ... a thing of the past.

Let's go Tigers! We play for rings.

i agree with you on Simpson, but not the rest. We played

some studs on defense and BV got the best out of them, 2 stars or 3 stars, they all played their hearts out.

Simpson was a starter by the end of the season.

That's why Mike Jones Jr. transferred to LSU because a younger Simpson took his job.

Last year's LBs were really good.

Not just good players, but also the over-used term "coaches on the field."

With 2021 season's LB leaders being smart and highly experienced, they helped young guys like Barrett Carter and Lavonte Bentley ... and sometimes also T.Simpson ... to get into the right spots before the opposing offense snapped the ball.

There is a big experience drop-off at LB; let's hope that Goodwin's alleged simpler defense helps to make up for the loss in knowledge.

Clemson is a team that gets NFL talent. No NFL prospect has started in the LB core since Clemson v LSU season. I don't care about narratives. I care about results. UGA, Alabama, and LSU have won national championships since "coaches on the field" were starting.

Isaiah Simmons was a stud.

We had the best defense

Probably in America. Certainly top three . Our offense finished next to last in the ACC yet we went 10-3. If somebody is complaining about our defense not having NFL players, they need to open their eyes up and watch football. Our defense was amazing.

Defense was outstanding vs. ACC level of competition. The fact Kirkland likes Simpson's "meanness" is the best news I've heard all day.

IF the DLine stays healthy finally and prove their worth in

May 5, 2022, 9:04 AM

terms of how elite they were rated out of high school, this defense is good enough to get us to the dance. The offense would have to snap out of being ranked 115th to at least 50th to get us to the dance. Winning the CFP would require a level of expert QB play and consistent yardage from our running game. That is the bugaboo. Which sux b/c those guys were highly rated out of high school too. Somebody has to take the bull by the horns and lead this team on offense.

Well said. Just like last year, QB and offense don't have to be top 5/Trevor Lawrence/Tee Higgins/Deshaun Watson/Mike Williams/Jordan Leggett/Amari Rodgers/etc.

Just be pretty good and don't suck.

And don't be last place.
