The question is… can Streeter scheme? We all know

That Elliot couldn’t. We all also know that Streeter didn’t do to well the last time he had the reins of the offense when Elliot was out cause cause of COVID. Now that it’s his offense maybe he blows the lid off….

That should be a huge help bc, our QB play this season has kept us from being a high scoring offense LOL

We are going to have to be a run first offense, again. Down blocks, pulling tackle/guard, giving the boys some holes to move down the field, then open up the outside. We will see what Streeter is made of....

I don't believe for a second, that Dabo would have a run first/most offense. I mean the teams that are in the top 5-10 teams in the country run a balanced offense. Most teams that win championships are set up for a balanced offense.
The day of the run first/mostly offenses are gone within the power 5 teams regardless of the conference. A run first/most oriented offense at Clemson would kill us from ever being a yearly top 10 FB team. I do personally believe that for Clemson to stay in the top 10 of college FB, we will have to run as near a balanced offense as possible, and if not, we will be excluded from any top 10 national ranking list!!!

I love the 3-5-3 defense. IF, big if, you have the athletes. One of the outside guys on the 5 has to be athletic enough the cover WRs (essentially a safety). The other outside guy has to be strong enough put be an effective edge rusher (essentially a DE) One of the inside guys has to be big and strong enough to put his hand in the dirt (a DE). One of the DEs has to be big and strong enough to slide over to DT.
Now, if you have three guys like Isaiah Simmons, every coach in the country would run it. ??
The flexibility it gives you is amazing. You can line up showing a 3-5-3 look. But at the snap it could go anywhere from a 5-2-4 to a 3-3-5 (any every combination in between).
Note: I'm not sure, but I think that the the primary defense WV used in the game that everyone wants to forget.

Brett you are correct. WVU was the first school I saw using the 3-5-3 at the major level. IF you have the right players it can be huge. In the big 12 where everyone was pass heavy it was a great defense imo. But the only decent team that ran a lot and used heavy sets was...Iowa St. It will be interesting to see if the boys play the way they did the last two weeks of the season, with a blocking mean streak. Pace and Ship are going to run hard, no doubt there. I would've up and pound all fame with an occasional play action thrown in. If we do what we did agaisnt Wake and Chick's, ISU will be in for a long game imo.

It was really hard to tell what defense they were using bc they were scoring so much. Oh chit, WV just scored on that Steele defense again. Not so funny I know, but I would bet the WV players that played in that game are still laughing about our D not being able to stop a single play in their play book.
At half time, the WV OC probably had to pull out a play book that the previous OC left behind in a drawer just to have a play that we hadn't seen them use that night. And I think that we all know that BV coming to Clemson was just coincidence from Kevin Steele having the very worst defensive game he's ever had in his career that night, and he probably hasn't had another that bad since leaving Clemson very pissed/mad, and highly upset with anything wearing Orange, and especially Black, and Yellow!!!
If we would have played as well as we were up until the fumble by I think it was Ellington at the goal line that was run back for a TD, I really don't think that game would have ended the way that it did. It was like that one bad play sucked everything out of our players. I do think even today that the best team got beat up that night, and as usual, the refs didn't do us any favors IMO....
