I think Dabo should be in the running, but as to winning I don't think so. Had our only loss been to Georgia, no doubt, but two ugly losses to conference opponents plus numerous struggles in a year in which even the Media fan guide said we would go undefeated and win every game by double digits ,too much went wrong.

Maybe not this year, but I wish Brent Venebles could win...he has had that D-line cooked and ready for every game this season, irregardless of injury or rebuilding. Facts.

jobs. This season did not have to occur if Dabo only adhered to his philosophy of giving people responsibilities and then holding them accountable. It was obvious by 2017 that Robbie Caldwell was not going to recruit the caliber of offensive linemen that reflected the status of the program. Mr. Caldwell should have been separated from the program a long, long time ago.

I think it's one of his best when you consider everything. I'm certainly not saying we were without issues before injuries, but I think it's easy to overlook the way he's held this team together during the 2nd half of the season. A lot of teams with Clemson's expectations would've folded after the loss to Pitt whenever it was clear we had no shot at making the playoffs or most likely being able to win the ACC even. It especially would've been easy for things to fall apart for the team once the injuries continued to pile up. Instead, this team has continued to work hard and improve even as the injuries have built. Last week we were down to 2 or 3 healthy receivers not counting former walk-ons and our QB had a hurt knee and hurt finger on his throwing hand and we still managed to beat the top team in our conference this season by 21 points.

Agree. Lots of examples of how bad it could have gone - Tennessee, Free Shoes U, LSU. Instead Dabo and his staff and team have put in the work and adapted and made improvements.

We have improved and we have beaten 4 opponents in a row. We pounded a Top 10 team with a super prolific offense. Our tough season is a good season for a Bowden team, or LSU, Florida, Texas, USC, and many more. We win this weekend and we are 9-3 and ranked in the Top-20. We could finish Top-15 with a bowl win.

Yeah, you can call it rat poison, copying Dabo, whatever you like. But I have the utmost respect for Shane and the entire Beamer family. Beamer probably should be coach of the year to get to 6 wins.
Talk about a rag tag, thrown together group of talent... Or lack thereof. Coupled with the fact of zero depth. A D3 QB that no one even wanted as a walk on. If he played our schedule this year, he's probably 7-4. He understands they're not going to beat us... At least not for 4 quarters. They've had a ton of injuries too, but again zero depth.
But I for one really hope he pulls it together and would love nothing more than to see him dethrone Kirby and UGA. Would much rather them be 11-0 coming into our game every year than for UGA.

I gave you the benefit of doubt, but it is hard to understand pulling for usuc to have a better record than Georgia. I feel totally the opposite bc, I dislike the coots much more than I've ever disliked Georgia, and I really dislike UGA!!!

I think for the 1st time since I have been in SC the gamecocks have a coach with a future instead of has beens or almost done with the career coaches. Swinney and Beamer may be seeing many matches to come. Alas Clemson has a tradition of winning and we'll continue to dominate the Gamecocks in the W/L column.
Actually my biggest worry is the weak nature of the ACC. The entire conference simply has to do some serious upgrading or schools are going to start bailing out. If the ACC continues its slide they are going to struggle to get recognition. Just look at how much disrespect they got in the years they won championships.
