Ryan, your analysis and editorial commentary are much appreciated.

Looking forward to another great year from the LB Corp in 2022!

BUT you did not comment on LB Keith Maguire and his projection for next year!

He was below the min snap count to include however here's some info:

He has 98 snaps (I only included players with 100+). He had the lowest PFF grade among Clemson LBs at 45.1.

Trotter only got 58 snaps but his PFF grades are super high.

I excluded them because the sample size is too small to have great analysis, but there's a little bit for you anyway!

We lose a ton of experience and leadership at the lb position

but the players that return next year are actually much higher rated and more elite athletes. They will make some mistakes, especially early on while they are learning on the job but that should pay dividends for us later on. They certainly have the talent, they just need some experience.

Well said. This group will be special next year, just avoid the injury bug.

Definitely going to be exciting to see what wes does with this group. My humble opinion is LaVonta didn't see the field enough. Again, jmo, more PT he'll grade higher.

Maquire needs to make a huge step forward or he'll get buried on the depth chart. Let Carter and trotter make their mistakes early because their ceiling much higher than everyone. Just need experience.

Time for Wes and Conn to step up and bring the "draftable" talent in for Clemson to be Linebacker U.

Let the best man play — but so well said CGA! Agreed there are some younger players with NFL upside. Preparing the talent to exhibit that upside in the CFB playoffs has to be an objective for overall team success. Wes and defensive coaches will have to figure that out.
