This will be a very interesting time for the next 10 or 11 months as recruits listen and read about NIL. The vast majority of the 3500 or so kids that sign will not receive any money, but they have to listen to the right people. Commitments may very well be few and far between this year and everyone has to remember that nothing is final until the dotted line is signed.

IMO, we see a lot of guys wait to commit this year

with the portal after the season there will be many spots open up at schools they'd prefer to attend but may not have the immediate opening

No AJ Harris? I guess we are done with Arch? I though Harris was a top priority for us.

Was hoping he'd be here. I know, as striper would say, we don't know chit.

But anyway, my two pennies have to ask why we haven't gone after a couple good ones in the portal with varying years left to play. Hey, the coaches know the ones that expect PT right off... But there's some sensible ones out there that are leaving because of a coach or whatever.

David's list of possible departures like XT, Davis, kj and others are pretty much a given seeing how they announced 1 more year. Every year since 2018 we've ended up with at least one, if not 2 position groups where we lacked experience or talent. That's Roster management.

Yes, there are a few missing from the list that it seemed we were in pretty good shape with. AJ Harris, Monroe Freeling, Luke Montgomery and Caleb Downs. Would have been great to have Noah Rogers as well. Hopefully it has more to do with basketball conflicts. AJ Harris was supposed to commit a few weeks ago and it appeared we were the choice, hopefully we aren't fading.

Regardless, nice deep group who will be attending. Didn't realize Eason was related to Burley, he would be a huge addition.

What is your evidence that Arch Manning is not Clemson's top QB target?

I hope we can land some of these great recruits! I’m hoping we land some more 3 & 4 star ?? players to go with the 5 star guys we have. Everything else is bonus!

If we landed all 5 star recruits, we’d lose some players to the portal as the 3 & 4 star players realize they need to develop to the college game at the highest level. Give us great OL, QB & WR’s and our defense will cover any mistakes!

I love that our Defensive coordinator is a guy that looks the part of a book worm and is somewhat an underdog with a lot to prove!

Wes is the best and keeps getting better and better everyday in Every way!

The portal makes these kind of potential recruits less important. you might get them but can you keep them?
