much better than us..plus I like his energy, potential & good mind (GT was where he'd gone since MaMa preferred them and him too due to their high academic ratings but he said Clemson waan't that far behind and offered a better All-Around future).

There has been an major spike in random shootings in the Atlanta area. Think about sending your child away from all of that to also get a quality education feels a lot better than having him in those unfortunate surroundings.
I myself haven't been down there in 4 years and I miss all the places I used to go to just unwind .

Every big city has what can be labeled as “random shootings.” My son is also in college here. There are other things to be afraid of in “small town” America while there are advantages to being in a city like the ATL. BTW I was born and raised in Charleston, SC and of course attended and graduated from Clemson. Went to grad school in St. Louis- lived in Baltimore for a while and Charlotte- there have been random shootings and issues and problems everywhere I’ve gone among every people group.

It is hard to know how good the competition was in highlight reels but this young man really looks fast and that is what we have been missing. Looking forward to having Orange in the endzone when EZ runs the ball.

Shippley is fast.. he is one of the fastest on the team..
Why do you think He or the others for that matter are not fast?
I mean CJ only comes around once every 50 years or so….. yes random # not an actual fact

Shipley is quick but doesn’t look “fast” on the field. He gets runs down every time he breaks one. It seems like He gets a ton of first down runs in the 11-18 yd range, which is fantastic. I think he only has 1 rushing TD over 30 yds so far.
I’m not bashing Shipley by any means, but Wayne Gallman had more house calls than Shipley by the time he had the same amount of carries.

Exactly.
Attributes more important for RBs than true break away / outrun everyone speed include:
Ball security
Ability to recognize holes
Cut and cut-back ability
Blocking
Pass catching
Stamina
Both Mafah (all year) and Shipley (by late season) possess all of those qualities.
Let’s hope that Mr. EZ can pick up / further develop all of these qualities to accompany his speed.

Shipley is not particularly fast. He's not bad, but most of his 40 times have hovered right around 4.5. His fastest time every was a wind-aided 4.45. That's good, but certainly not blazing for a running back.

I watched this young mans tape. He has good downfield awareness and many skills that made me think of a young Spiller. He is in the right place to learn and grow. Glad to have him in the Tiger family. Welcome.

I can see that. He is a Tall RB tho, kinda reminds me of a Darren McFadden type back. Before anyone hates on that comparison, McFadden was UNREAL at Arkansas.

Ezy-e looks very quick and he obviously knows the golden rule. There is no "I" in "block". He took on all kinds in that highlight reel. Safeties, linebackers, defensive tackles. Good for him and us

The big reputation schools that stockpile multiple high quality RBs on each year’s roster (Bama and UGA included) can’t sign everyone.
If EZ D shows out big time his Sr. Season, then Bama, UGA, and others may start chasing him.
Unless his family is susceptible to changing long term future for EZ D (I.e., get deducted by huge NIL deal), then I suspect that they recognize that Clemson represents a high probability option for him simultaneously getting priority snaps playing time, big-time exposure, and the opportunity to display his entire skill set.
Seriously, what place other than Clemson can offer an ‘on field’ package that is comparable?
Oh yeah, and our overall culture is real … not just some recruiting line.
