Proud of Streeter’s response to the situation. Not at all surprised.

Probably almost certainly another case of driving while texting. It's really out of control and almost everybody does it including a lot of people posting here.

Coach Streeters actions exemplify the spirit of Clemson University. He put others before himself by stopping to lend aid not knowing what he would find. And when he found it was the very worst possible outcome, he dug in and helped do whatever he could to assist the rescue workers. Thank you Coach Streeter for everything you did during a tragically sad and difficult event.

Very proud of you, Coach Streeter!

A very valiant deed.

Prayers out to the family of the deceased.

Terrific action by Coach. Let's Go Brandon!

Selfless and giving! That's a true Clemson man right there. Coach Streeter has always been a tough one.

Go Tigers!

I always liked him as a coach and a player. So glad he is back. This is just another example of why.

Is this dega vu alll over again?

Wasn't there another CU FB coach that pulled a wreck victim (s?) from a car wreck into the Seneca River, after FB practice.

(If that was also an offensive coach, should these events foretold that the offense was a car wreck about to happen?)
Great work, Streeter!

Sorry to read of this tragic event.

But I gotta admit, when I recognized that the "coach" in the photo was Streeter, and the location of the story was reported to be Liberty, that I wondered why Streeter was back in VA the day before a game. I started wondering just what the context of this incident was that Tigernet was omitting from the story.

Glad to see I was paranoid, but regretfully so.

Also don't know all of our coaches, but Streeter is one I would almost expect to be involved in rescue attempts. The guy has a hero's heart.

That family is in serious pain right now.

The TNetters who want Streeter fired will not like this.

We need Streeter to rescue the offense next! Great man!??***

This says it all about the character, integrity and courage of Clemson coaches, players and fan’s. Clemson is a very special place.

However, it’s very sad that there was loss of life due to this accident. I know many of you too will be praying for the family involved from the tragic lose of two people’s lives.

We've officially watered down the word "hero" to

Nov 6, 2021, 3:00 PM

meaninglessness. I take nothing away from what he did, and I'm proud of him for representing himself and Clemson well by doing the right thing. But that's just it, doing the right thing isn't "heroic", it's just doing the right thing. Heroic is putting your life on the line, or sacrificing great personal harm to yourself for the potential betterment of another. This was neither of those.

Admirable? Absolutely. Am I proud of him? All day long. Was it heroic? Not by any definition of the word, and he seems to agree.

I'll take this coaching staff over any other in the country. A group of great men. No one could go wrong allowing their son the play for them.
