We made plays, Tech just hit the last shot. Amazing 1st half by the Hokies as I don't remember a team shooting 75% on 3's and making 62% overall. Our guys never quit and every Tiger fan should be proud of the way we came back. Missing a couple of free throws was the killer, not the last second shot.

I think guarding the last shot would be “making a play”***

I keep checking hourly for Brownell fired. It’s going to hurt my pulse making this content. But, would make my year! Long overdue.

Based on the story, no shot at an NIT bid?

I've looked at all the updated projections (through last night games) and we're nowhere to even being mentioned. A couple of them already have wake and va tech in nit.

Ok Clemson nation Wake Up! Last night was the Prime example of why
Brownell has lost so many close games. Am I the only Tiger that is sick
of 12 years Headlines.. Valiant comeback effort falls short???
I am an old walk on football player (just a practice dummie) on Charley Pell's
last team (1978) @ Clemson, but a passionate Bballer.
I am Not a basketball coach although I have coached Church & Industrial teams.
Last night...up 2 points with 6.7 seconds
You make VA Tech drive every inch of the court against your Full Court press
And if they make it to half court, foul them and make them beat you at the
foul line. Clemson Wins! But Noooo...Brownell gives them 3/4 of the court and
allows them to launch a 3. Tech should have Never been allowed that shot!!!
Mr Brownell may be a nice man, but even this Old Tiger can outcoach him.
The Players deserve better... Furthermore the coach who beat him last night
is the former coach at Wofford...think about it

I somewhat agree. I actually like the trap defense with that time left. Seems like one of the teams did it to us last week and caught Honor in a couple turnovers. I don't remember what game it was but I think you double the ball and confuse them. By the time they work it around the game is over.

Stupid to foul when up by two.

So I ignored everything else you wrote.

Only ######### Monday morning QB after a loss...

Agree with you but "stupid" is a little harsh unless that person is an a-hole.

Well, Bruce Weber is now available.

The scouting report says that kid makes 50% from 3

Furthermore, he hit a game-winning three pointer just last week.

Does it sound like a good idea to you if he is the one catching the inbounds and casually dribbling up the floor for a good look at a semi-contested three pointer to win the game?

Would you rather lose or go to another overtime?

I’ll take my questions off of the air, thank you.

It sounds like some of you all have plywood mush for brains.

The players and the team improved all year no doubt!

Mar 10, 2022, 2:44 PM

They definitely deserve a NIT invite, and I think they will do well, esp. if Hall gets over his injuries. AND REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT YEAR!

In previous years, including last year, the team seemed to

lose the fighting spirit. this year they fought harder and harder until the very end.

It was a tough loss, but proud of our guys. They just kept coming at VT and amazing we took the lead. PJ is a great talent to build our team around for next year, love his and all the guys heart.

Agree with this team fighting until the end. Last year just based on playing time and body language, obvious Newman was headed to portal. No player seemed to check out this year. This team fought to the end, but many fans did not. Attendance at games was down. PJ Hall is a special player who needs a little more talent around him. I will support team no matter what. Neff has a tough call.

With our wins at the end of the season some of the TV analysts thought we could have been a Cinderella tournament team.

a good chance to beat Notre Dame. So yeah...if we had just made it to the semis, that would have qualified us to be called a Cinderella team!
