Sure hope so, Jake showed flashes last year that give me confidence our TE's will make a larger impact this year. We know what Allen can do.

I know that my hopes are that our TEs will start making a difference with pass catching, but I wish that they wouldn't be printing everything said by our TEs/any players bc, our opponents didn't use much time preparing for our TEs catching the ball, and I would hope that they had to learn about what we expect from our TEs after they have seen what we're doing with them on film, and not before. There are a few games at the start of the season that I would rather they find out what we have planned for our TEs after the fact, and they felt the impact from our TEs running free down the sidelines for TD. One of those teams surely is NC State, like keeping it on a down low until they are in the Valley getting beat up, and getting burnt by our TEs against their all world secondary, ;) :)!!!

Jake is a fantastic target for a QB trying to create momentum and gain confidence. Great hands, tough matchup, lengthy and high IQ. This could be a cozy security blanket for DJ/Cade. I think Davis brings value as a short yardage and Redzone target. I wouldnt sleep on Sapp this season either, he might end up catching several balls this season as well. Go Tigers!!!

I think they should use Jake on occasion like Pitt did with the TE screen against us back in ‘16. He’s athletic enough to get good yards after the catch.
